Has anyone ever visited the "Maranello Rosso" collection in S. Marino? (S. Marino is the tiny one-town independent state situated in central Italy). I heard it's amazing, and I'd like to see it. Any opinions/pictures/etc.?

There was also a shop where i bought some nice (short though) VHSvideo from the collection itself and a bottle of wine called "Rosso 250 GTO" Collezione Maranello Rosso (mine is nr 2447 out of 3000, just checked)

I have been there in 95 IIRC. It is a very impressive collection of cars in a superb setting. All the cars were displayed in relatively dark rooms (not very suitable for photograps) in a historical building. All the rooms contained large mirrors so it looked as if you are 360° surrouned by Ferraris. However, since a couple of years the collection has sold off some of the cars and the setting/display has been changed also, so I cannot comment on the current situation. When I made my visit there were about 40 Ferraris.

I've been there together with Joren, Bert, Roel and Waldo about a year ago :)
Nice place to see and great cars in there indeed. Too bad the set up is a bit messy and the light isn't perfect.

Pics can be seen from post 53 and following in this thread... http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57058&page=3

That whole trip was memorable :D
