I’m going to be in Italy in June and plan to spend a day touring in Maranello. For what I can gather from the Ferrari website, the following are the available options:

    1. Museo Ferrari Maranello
    2. Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena
    3. Shuttle bus Factory and Track tour

I plan to do all of the above, and any other potential “special” tours for clients who own cars and/or have cars on order.

have any of you guys visited the Ferrari factory and/or museums, and any tips for me?

There are many many threads on this.

Make sure to get in touch with your dealer and have them help you book it. You can ask for a private tour which is just a little more personalized. Not sure if they have resumed all of this as they were shut down due to covid. You often need to plan this many months in advance.

Also see if you can get a meal at Ristorante Cavallino and Montana.

I checked with my dealer last week if the Ferrari factory tours have restarted after Covid as we we thinking of drivng to Italy in July, he checked and the answer came back as not yet, the same goes for factory collections.

One has to be a super special VVVVIP to get a factory collection.
A Swiss friend of mine was allowed to pick up his new 812 C at Fiorano on 24 February 2022.

And for a meal I strongly recommend to avoid Cavallino and rather go to Montana. Plenty of threads about these themes.

And if you are into classic Ferraris you may also want to visit the various restoration shops in the area between Maranello, Modena, Bologna, Reggio Emilia etc.

I will not do this. My personality with Ferraris is one of weakness. Should I peruse these shops and witness these beautiful cars in various states of undress I fear it would launch an addition. Then lots of lost sleep until a ton of money is surrendered. Nope. Not gonna do it.

Any delivery of a U.S. destined car is problematic at best even if you are VVVVVIP. There are all sorts of problems unique to U.S. based customers. What you can do is a factory presentation instead. It is where the factory presents to you your car inside the factory, you take photos, have your fun, and then leave without driving it about Italy for the 2 weeks usually associated with European Delivery.

Also forget Cavallino. Awful food when I was there.

Funny story, in 2014 my wife and I took the factory tour. One of the other US buyers knew his car was being built and asked the tour guide if she could locate it. Well as it turned out his car was on the line where the nearly finished cars were coming out. The tour guide pointed him to the car. I wasn't looking at him, but my wife said when he saw his car his face looked like a man seeing his first born son coming out of the womb!

We were at the factory last October and ate at both Cavallino and Montana. The evening meal at Cavallino was very good but not as good as our lunch at Montana which was exceptional. Probably one of the finest culinary experiences I've ever experienced. Worth going just to sample Northern Italian cuisine which is probably the best in the world IMO.
Its one place I could return to over and over again which is very rare for me.

I looked up Montana and read the reviews, and you guys are right, it sounds amazing. I tried emailing them a few days ago to make a reservation and haven’t heard back yet. How did you guys get reservations? I don’t think the OpenTable App works for restaurants in Italy :)

You need to call them or ask your hotel to call them and make the reservation for you.

Had lunch there on the 5th where I had the Maranello Palace Hotel make the booking and then on the 6th Ferrari did the booking as part of my Tailor Made. Emerson Fittipaldi was there on the 6th for lunch. Image Unavailable, Please Login
