My Jarama is an early "S" model but equipped with Marazzi rubber mats. It puzzles me as I thought that Marazzi only did the non "S" model, not the later ones. At what time did the builder change?

From what I understand, Marazzi assembled all Isleros and Jaramas with panels provided by Bertone, who were up to their necks in X1/9 production.

I too am interested in the Marazzi mats for my Jarama 400GT. There seems to be some confusion about who actually completed the cars; interiors. During my visit to Marazzi a few years ago, all the staff were young and knew nothing. Recently, I was advised ( perhaps by B Paratelli ) that all the interiors were done in Sant'Agata.

Any news on procuring new mats ( with the embossed rubber inserts ) would be appreciated ( I know Olivier is interested too )

I was planning on replacing my carpets and getting mats.
Does anyone know of any pre-cut kits?

In order to avoid confusion :
    1. Marazzi built all Islero & Jarama and the last Espada built from 1975.
    2. All Jarama got the rubber floor mats

To my knowledge, you can contact in Germany Stefan ****z who has several sets remanufactured.

    Olivier,

IMHO, you have not avoided confusion for those of us seeking Islero / Jarama mats with 'Marazzi rubber inserts. I.E. Were they made by a tappezzeria close to Marazzi in Varese / Milano, or someone close to Sant'Agata. I.E. Did Marazzi just assembly the bodies on the chassis and then ship to the factory for the trimming ( carpets, mats, seats etc ) ?

Anyhow, thanks for the info on Stefan ****z. I'll call him. If he has the correct mats available, who cares about my points above, apart from the detail.

Here is the part you are looking for...

Marazzi subcontracted the building of the frame in Turin.

Then, he collected the frame and welded the body panels, painted the car,
fitted the electrical wiring loop, interior, lights and all badges.

The cars were fitted on rolling chassis of square tube to move then and to ship then to Sant'Agata !

Paratelli wasn't working on the Islero & Jarama, it was a Milano local supplier as well as for the floor rubber mat.

    Hi Olivier,

Many thanks for all this fascinating extra info, and Stefan's contact details.
I have already been in contact and am negotiating a purchase.

For anyone interested in spares, his site is

    www.ricambi-toro.de

but I cannot find the mats there. BTW, price is 138 Euro each + 19 tax.

    Thanks again, Olivier

    Peter,

Here is a pic of one of my Jarama original mats, together what our newly found supplier is selling. Latter is simply the rubber part (( but seems like excellent quality ) ! So, when you eventually replace your mats, you will have to combine products ( textile and rubber ) from 2 sources. This is what I plan to do soon, so I will keep you posted if you wish. PM me.
