    Last night(Wed16th) saw the launch of the 599 GTB here in Marbella, Spain, at a function hosted by the local concessionaire, C.de Salamanca, at Finca Besaya, Rio Verde Alta, close to the palace of the late King Fahid of Saudia Arabia.

    As usual, Jose Carlos de Salamanca did himself proud, with a very enjoyable evening of entertainment, drinks and canapés, for the very large attendance, and I was especially pleased to be introduced, by Jose Carlos, to Miguel Martinez, Manager Ferrari Western Europe.

    Amongst the gathering were Mark Armitage(marky1) and his buddy Alex, both of whom had travelled from nearby Gibraltar. It was my first time meeting the guys, yet despite the vast array of human beauties all around us, the conversation remained rooted to the Rosso Corsa variety.

    Are we sad, or what?

    Donie you have some nice views of the new Ferrari 599. Not easy with what looks like a big crowd there. Thanks for sharing. Interesting the different versions as to color and standard wheels which Ferrari chose for each different countries' introduction to the 599
