    Hi,

Next summer I am going to Marbella for a few weeks and I was thinking while I was there I would like to go to St. Tropez and Monaco for a long weekend, maybe a thursday to monday.

My question is what is the best way of doing this? Is flying the best way to get from Marbella to Cannes? Also, I have heard that the best way to get to Monaco/St. Tropez is the train from Cannes. Is this correct?

I am familiar with Malaga/Marbella area but I have never been to France. How far is Monaco from Cannes / St. Tropez from Cannes? What is the easiest way to visit both?

Also, is their any events on next summer eg. supercar show/rally?

    Thanks in advance.

    John

    Hi John,

Yes, from Marbella to the South of France I would prefer a plane...
Nice has a very nice airport. Renting a car there is a very good option and IMO the best.
Cannes - Monaco is about 50km...
    Cannes - St-Tropez is about 70km...
Personnally I prefer Monaco above St-Tropez... and Nice above Cannes...
Don't know exactly if there will be carshows or rally's around the time you're there. But especially in Monaco there's ALWAYS enough to see if you like exclusive cars... ;)

    Have a great trip!

Thanks Alexander, I really appreciate all of the advice.

Is renting a car the best option or has anyone used the train? I heard about the train from a friend who attended the Grand Prix. He say's it's the best option on GP weekend but I guess not for a normal weekend?

On a GP weekend it's extremely crowded... so yes... a train could be the better option then... or what about a heli?
On other occasions I would always prefer travelling by car.

I think the best way is by plane of course. Malaga-Nice, and by train to Monaco.
