Nothing can compare to the horror that is this crash. If you watch it on youtube be ware it is not for the faint of heart. I have been riding and crashing bikes for over 30 years and this just makes me sick to my stomach, just an unbelievable chain of bad luck events.
That his family and loved ones were watching makes it even worse. Words cannot even begin to describe the pain they must be going through and my heart bleeds for them.
Just tragic, all my thoughts and prayers go to him and his loved ones.. RIP

yes, what a hit it was to have ripped his helmet off. it is very sad. i have been on track when racers were killed. it makes you really reflect and it makes you marvel at the fragility of life and just how quickly things change.

    r.i.p. marco.

I just started watching MotoGP/GP2 this year, so not as well versed as all of you. But that was horrifying to watch. That kid seemed to have the heart of a lion. RIP.

I was just flabbergasted by the news. Marco was always one of our most favorites to watch, and he's always prompted the 'get a haircut, I know your dad, you whippersnapper' type comments, seeming to be the lighthearted young kid off the track.. I'm just blown away. This is so incredibly sad.

    Rest in peace, kiddo..

there must be something real weird happened BEFORE the impact

because his head was already dragging in the groung BEFORE the other riders ( Edwards & Rossi ) hit him

not to mention the strange direction his bike was wandering in instants prior to the impact .

we'll never know what really happened

Looks like he was about to low side, but the bike caught traction again, hence he was hanging off the edge.

The accident was so sickening to watch, and to think, I saw him on podium in Australia a week earlier. A true talent and up and coming Moto GP superstar and all round nice guy. R.I.P Marco!

Great tribute to a great rider. I still am in disbelief that the accident happened.
