There was a Ferrari mechanic at Ferrari of Ontario in Toronto and I've been trying to locate him. Apparently he was one of the best. I heard that he opened his own shop. Any ideas?

Depending on what kind of Ferrari you have you may or may not want Marcus to do it, Tony who worked with him at FOO is one of the longest serving Ferrari mechanics in Ontario and he's at Lamborghini Toronto along with half of Remo's old staff, anyways the answer to your question is Daytona in HollyWoodbridge last I heard.

Tony is 'THE MAN' he was always putting a new clutch in all those Testarossa models that suffered at the hands or maybe I should say foot of their owners. Then there were the Boxers and that 288 GTO. Tony did them all. Top of the Class! Lucky Lamborghini owners...

Lambo of T.O. does a fair amount of Ferrari's aswell. One thing I must say,is you don't here much of anything bad about Lambo of Toronto. They seem like a great bunch of people down there. Unlike the horror stories about Ferrari of Ontario. It won't be long until FoO loose's most of it's clientel. I have gained 5 clients just this year alone that have left.

A question comes to my mind.
Yes I do NOT own a Ferrari, but let's say I would like to buy one in the future [a new one]. I read somewhere else in this thread that you cannot go to FoQ [Ferrari of Quebec] to get it but you MUST go through FoO.

Now does that makes sense that I put my money in a garage that their service is not good [I'm basing that on your comments]

This is just a curiosity of mine now.

    Cheers

My understanding is (and anyone feel free to correct me) that the dealer in your territory is the only one able to sell new cars to residents of that territory. EXCEPT... I've heard that after a letter to FNA stating why you would really rather not but from your local dealer (ie FoO for poor service or any other number of reasons), but a different dealer, then FNA will allow the desired dealer to sell the car.

As far as servicing the new car goes, you can send the car to Vancouver for warranty work if you want, that's up to you.

Yes you understood correctly, if you want a new Ferrari and you live in Ontario or anywhere west of Ontario right out to BC you have to buy from FOO, Quebec and East FOQ, it's a shame but thats the way it is right now.

But why ???? Alex is there, good guy, seems like a good mechanic. But why would he go there, I would doubt many if any fcars go there for service. That blk/blk 328 has had too many birthsays at Daytona, even that little 308. As a matter of fact, the 91 TR has been there since last year also. So why would he go there ??

They also had that 87 Red TR there too. I just found out today that my old customer bought that car (Before that he had a 355 Berlinetta - Now in Montreal ;-))

And now it's up for sale. Anyone lookin for an 87 Testarossa Red/? with 39KM. I got my hand on that one.

If you live in Ontario you can not buy a new Ferrari from outside Ontario. Same if you live in Quebec, you should buy from Montreal. If you live in BC you should buy your new Ferrari from FoV. If you live in any other Province you are allowed to purchase anywhere you feel comfortable. This is what I am told by FNA.

If I found these Canadian dealers to be what they are said to be I would buy it from outside of Canada . Money talks, it's easy to get one elsewhere that appreciates the biz. Perhaps a crazy-assed......euro-speced-out F-car? For sure.

    Just my 2 cents.

Oh and Bernie, thanks for the compliment mon ami. The Boxer is now back in the customers collection, he took it back to finish off the summer with some nice driving. But it still is available if you are looking to trade your 308 ;-) heheh.

    Cheers

You mean have they finally let me in? Not really, I just happen to like the logo. I hope that it won't ruffle anyone's feathers. Tu lo sai chi?
