Maria has given her first interview to the media since her horrifying crash she had testing the Marussia MR01 at a straight line aero test.

The article is in Spanish but Autosport has some coverage of it and some photos showing her now.

She says she recalls the entire accident too, that has to suck.

This is the original article if you speak Spanish.

I was thinking she looks like she should have James Bond strapped down to a table under a giant laser lol.

I was wondering when we'd hear from her. She looks great and her attitude is spectacular.

    Wow....(to the last post diagram)...

    Brave lady, and pretty too..

I hope the restorative surgery will help her.....

I suffered a bike crash (in the '80s!) and the impact caused headaches that lasted two years....that is the most aggravating part, they eventually faded but to this day impacts hurt, a LOT!

Thanks for the thread, rehab in the Public eye can be emotionally taxing.
    GOOD for her!!

We should all send 'fan' messages, is there a website??

True enough that looks real nasty, my thoughts and best wishes are with her for a good recovery.

That one article has such a poignant comment:

"Who will love me, like this?", looking into the mirror.

I'm glad she realized from the outpouring of support, that beauty comes from deep inside.
    She's beautiful....

We have a female member here that lost an eye, you know....she had to tell me or I would not have even known....

Considering the enormous damage to the right hand side of her forehead there is very little scarring in those photos. Good for her to have a positive outlook on life after the accident.
