Well I'm not Peter but I got mine on last night. Almost finished my oil change today and will hoefully be putting the hood back on tomorrow!! By the way if anyone needs it I found some stuff at Lowe's that works (I hope) for the spare tire piece.
Howdy Dana! Not yet I'm out on a 5-day trip, loving the flying since I get to see the sun and blue skies...but I'm chompin' on the bit to get home and continue with the F-car list, house CB box balancing & outlet/switch renewal. I've got to first fix my fuel seep at the fuel return check-valve on the right saddle tank. My car was re-painted as you know, and the foam that is on the car (that mates up to the tire-well) was yellow and painted black. It looks okay, but I think I'll buy ya a tank of gas for the nicer foam pieces you fabbed for this application! PeterB.
I'll see if I can scrounge up some of the thinner stuff for the spare tire well. See you at Dyno day?
I found the smaller stuff at Lowes. It doesn't exactly match the stuff you got but it's very close. Let me know if you can't find it and I'll get some for you here, they had a whole shelf full. I think the old stuff on mine was black too so I was thinking of painting them both to match.
Cool! Dyno day is on my mind! I'm going to try to be there...I'd really like to know where my car "is" before the smog goods get "modified." This is day four on the road...I'm in Vancouver, BC, marooned at the hotel. I wish I could be hanging out in a F-car shop though. Home tomorrow. PeterB.
