A friend of mine was asking what the full market on Murcies (real prices, not asking / inflated / dreamer) is. I didn't know, but figured I could ask here.

I'm sure no one has anything as extensive as Dale's 550 research, but any general rules of thumb (price discount for years, miles, discount due to lack of service, etc) is welcome. Also real world current pricing.

Also how are they holding up after miles? Are the 02 cars to be completely avoided?

This is my rough guesstimation Dan from sales i have seen on the market.

    2006 - 309,000
    2005 - 250,000-275,000
    2004 - 225,000-250,000
    2003 - 200,000-225,000
    2002 - 190,000-200,000

These are the dreamer prices or what I refer to as the portfolio values however real market values based on the gals being sold is substantially less.

I would not even look at the columns on the right and then deduct $20K from each line item on the left. Then you will see values consistent with gals being sold when compared to simply being for sale.

    Takes care

Thanks R, but I think Shadowman is right here.

Prices I have seen seem to indicate about 20k less than your numbers on the left.

Seems like 02s and 03's can be had for as low as the 160s now, maybe even the 150s.

I beg to differ on this subject. Having recently sold my Murci, along with several friends, we have found the Murci market to be extremely strong. I listed my car in the Dupont Registry at 190K, regretably, as the instant the issue came out (I havent even seen it yet) the car sold, at full asking price, with several backup offers. I was hoping to keep the car a few months, as I did not think it would sell that quickly. My car is a 2002 with just under 10K miles. Im now hoping that the 07 Murci is as advertised, or I will be extremely upset for selling my car.

Not if I get to it first.

With 03s being advertised in the 170s, I wholly expect you can knock them down about 10k in asking price.

    I bought 2003 Murci $219 (car was listed at $228) Miles 4100.
BUT.. I got the car/color I wanted with a 6 speed... I think there were only 4 on the market and 2 of them were eGear. I'd pay EXTRA to never have to drive that piece-of-poop Italian Engineering mistake. MY OPINION, MY TWO CENTS.

Lowest brand new '06 car that I know of first hand was $300k($315k msrp car)...Other than that I would take Roy's advice being that he would be my first call for a car.

Remember buyers make the market. Don't pay more. Negotiate down and the prices will come down!

Look, I didn't set it, I'm simply asking for someone else. He said he's looked around and that seems to be the market.

I think cars with asking prices of 175-180 can definitely take a 7-10k hit no problem.
