I called my local dealership to inquire on availability and price. They said they had one available but wanted 60k over sticker. Anyone paying that much over sticker?

I've heard of as much as $90k over for a first allotment. $50k over sound about normal. Of course I don't think Ferrari dealers are supposed to mark up the cars so I doubt any dealers will admit to it publicly.

LA Auto Gallery quoted me 60k over stick on a black/black 458 they said they could have in less than a week.

I purchased my California from them less than a year ago. I though they would at least be fair on price for a returning customer. 60K over sticker seemed to be a F*ck you price.

Don't do it - offer them a small amount of premium and walk away.
Shop dealers across country. You don't have to be loyal to local dealer if your paying premium.

~ Are you certain on this? Ferrari dealers have been instructed by Ferrari N.A. to sell new cars to regional customers only. Unless something has changed.

You're basically wasting your time calling dealers that are not in the area that you live as all dealers have been instructed not to sell to customers in another dealers local area.

Second, a dealer may not sell a car over sticker. They could buy back a car from a customer at sticker and then mark it up, but they can't sell it at a premium while it's on an open MSO. Now if the customer sells their car to another consumer within 1 year (premium or without) they won't be allowed to buy another new car for a very long time (the FNA Blacklist). If they sell it back to the original dealer that is okay, but a sale has to be completed and title in the name of the customer being transferred to the dealer will be required (again, no original sale unless the MSO converts to a title).

<removed request of user> Can't wait three years and even that's not a promise.

you can write letter to FNA and get approval to buy new Ferrari outside your dealer area. Tell them why you're not happy with your dealer, I would confront dealer first and see if they will correct situation. If not, write FNA and get specific approval to buy new elsewhere.

They have none.I foolishly paid 100k over for a 430 and did not even get an invitation to the LA showing of the 458.Bought 599 HGTE from Bev Hills Ferrari and now feel I have a new home. They invited me to the showing and have been super fair to deal with.Saw that Goldcoast in Chicago has a 458 and are showing 354k.My 458 will be a Spyder at MSRP but it will be a wait.

No one will admit it but if you try you will find - especially if your paying over.
