^^ that is true some of these BAT dealers are buying cars right out of the manheim auction in flipping them to BAT for some nice $$$$$
I would call it immoral, but this is the car business after all. It’s like people actually enjoy paying more on BAT.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-ferrari-550-maranello-48/ Just hit BAT and 5 other nice cars from a collection.
there was one dealer i followed before i got kicked off manheim. he sells modern luxury stuff. i could find the cars pretty easily on the sales history. mercedes wagons and range rovers .... huge spreads
There is this on currently an auction I think it is a great option with great options and low mileage https://sothebysmotorsport.com/auction/2004-ferrari-575mmaranellofactory6speed-4474
No lie, that thing needs an Italian tuneup…after a thorough going-through of course. Factory stick, late build, FHP, modulars…sheesh
Black is my favorite color after blue and maybe white on the 575. I just really wanted a blue but beggers can't be choosers!
Going off now.... I decided for a driver, it was too few miles... losing money to drive it. I need to find a 20-40k mile car I think.... Hate losing this one though....So nice!! Wow....Sold for $111K Man it hurts to let that one go....
MANY of us have been talking here and on BaT about this car that just hammered shortly ago at $111k. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-575m-maranello-22/ SOLD 2004 575 F1 WITH ONLY 4,116 miles SOLD for $111,000 ZFFBV55A340137854 Argento over nero sold out of Cumming GA on a GA title +) @Big Swole went and saw the car in person. Same family owned since 2011. +) FHP, Modular 19's, red contrasting stitching, leather rear shelf, "tunnel glove compartment", small spare wheel kit +) No daytona's but the sport seats with contrasting red stitching looked nice +) Tubi-style exhaust & K40 radar detector +) 2024 service included timing belts, fuel pumps & rollover valves & rebuilding the water pump. Seller in 2024 also flushed brake fluid and replaced tires. +) 2024 additional service included instrument cluster voltage regulator, and shift paddles replaced. +) What's not to like?....no red fob....maybe the post applied shields? Unusual wear on the interior driver door open/pull. I guess the AC was in need of diagnostic work? +) posting noted rock chips on front bumper and and rear wheel arches. I said it here and at the auction I thought this would bring $120k+ based on options and the very low miles. Market is clearly soft...... Hope everyone enjoyed watching that one....not a great time to sell.....
Terry @tazandjan and others that have more closely watched the historical 575 market....back in 2011 when the family that just sold this car....acquired it back in 2011.....back then I was not watching 575 values, only 550 values.....is it possible an investment grade car like this way back then was in the "sub $70" area? So few 2004 575's.......
I am still a bit surprised that it brought $195k. The trip to Canada for a major and associated vague documentation doesn't really add up for me personally but I wish the seller the best on the second attempt.
It is a _terrible_ result. I wouldn’t have let it go. I guess we could dissect it, but I think you’re right - it’s just the market. Meanwhile: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-porsche-911-carrera-coupe-67/
It would be interesting to see the next few weeks and for certain high end cars how “soft” results are as a direct result of people having upsetting discussions with their income tax prep accountant. I just had mine and I need to lie down for a few minutes. 8-( My current anger level regarding the amount I’m going to pay would have definitely had me not bidding on that lovely 2004 575 (until at least the sting wears off).
i sold my 7k mile 2003. basically same car and in GA for $97.500. 550's could be had 65-75k ish but not 575s as i recall.
I had totally forgot that back then it was a price inversion with the 575's trading higher than 550's. I'm very serious when I say I really do think about @dhalperin13 weekly and what an amazing deal he scored on his 575. #winning
the nicer more option cars with diff colors were pulling more money but you could buy a red, silver 550 there pretty easily
