We haven't been avoiding answering your question. The Nelson Youth Center collected all the the ticket receipts and we have just received the stubs from them this past Friday we have some final accounting with the Centre and will be able to announce the total by this coming Wedesday. We appreciate your patience. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions. Thank you Marques d'Elegance
While it really is not that important how much was raised, the fact is what whatever was raised is going to a local charity. In today's times anything that they can receive is beneficial. I am sure that when Felice gets the total he will post it. Remember that Felice and his crew did most of the work for the benefit of the charity. The real heroes are ALL those who helped and the owners who brought their cars out to display and attract the viewers who had to pay to enjoy them. I consider this a big ask as you never know what can happen to your car once in the open. For a fact there was at least one person who got into a car and tried to get into others. Poor taste, no class and no respect for other people's property!! Still a fantastic event bar none!!
sounds good. I understand felice is taking some time off after months of time and sweat put into organizing this event so no worries! A well deserved break!
Thanks for your continued support Angelo!!! This event could not have been as success without people like you!!!
red on blk ferrari`s still take the cake for me - beautiful color combo, and the bb with the black bottom is STUNNING - those damn italians knew what they were doing 30yrs ago with that boxer.
Drivers, What can I say? You came. You supported YOU made it happen! Thank you for your decision to register your vehicle in the Marques DElegance event this past August 19th at the beautiful Paletta Mansion. It was an impressive display indeed. There were 120++ exotic vehicles- Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche, McLaren . And we were delighted to have you there. So many really went out of their way to attend. In fact, the very first registered Driver came all the way from Dubai. Flying from Dubai to Amsterdam- Amsterdam to Toronto and sending us emails all along the way. Drivers from Detroit, Montreal and all points across Ontario. Some Drivers worked endlessly to ensure their vehicle would be in pristine shape for the event. We thank you for that too. Everyone wanted to see your car(s) - that is why amazing sponsors like Cross Avenue Auto, Paletta International , Melrose Investments, Idea Factor, Castrol Motor Oil, RBC Wealth Management, Leggatt Auto Group, Fairview Tire, Barton Auto Parts, Mercedes Benz Burlington - to name a few and participants like Ferrari of Ontario, Pfaff, and Humberview Motorsports. And oodles of car-adoring fans. Paletta Mansion was part of the overall vision to re-create in Canada an event similar to the famous Pebble Beach Event south of the border, where car enthusiasts meet and display their moving works of art in an exclusive environment. The goals where clear. 1. Create an event where Drivers can share their passion for their vehicles 2. Raise funds for the Nelsons Youth Center 3. Draw like-minded Sponsors to the event 4. Ensure that the Female participants could enjoy more than the ride 5. Create an exciting day for the general public to see an amazing display of moveable art We certainly hope you enjoyed the VIP Lounge, a spectacular luncheon with many choices from pasta to steak to salmon, exclusive wines from the prestigious Tre Amici ( who carry Jarno Truly- F1 Drivers special wine) , the fashion show hosted by Burlingtons finest retailers- put on by our own local- professional Model Agency who thrilled us during lunch as they displayed their I-gotta-have-this-fashions throughout the mansion and onto the grounds near the cars, the beer garden hosted by Muskoka Brewery, special red debossed passport wallets for the Female Driver/Passenger, glass monogramed trophies to thank the Sponsors, glass monogramed Trophies to award best in class vehicles, a world class violinist ( flown in for this event), Harmony Jewellers brought the Police to watch over their jaw-dropping display. It was- in a word- SPECTACULAR with huge thanks to YOU! And what about the volunteers? Stayed late at the office for briefing meetings. Came to the event at 7:00am for driver registration and worked right through to show closing at 6:00. Licked, stamped, folded, prepared, wrapped. If it was part of the event- they did it! To those of you who held or attended any of the numerous pre-event BBQs etc to drive traffic and support to the event- all in the name of the kids at NYC. We send you even more THANKS! ( One driver in particular had to get up at 4:00am- to leave his cozy bed in Richmond Hill to attend a pre-event taping from CHCH TV Morning Show at 6:00am on the Paletta Mansion grounds). THAT is amazing! All done without complaint. And perhaps the best part of all? The smiles on your faces as you exited the Mansion- exclaiming your delight, calling it the Best Event EVER! and pledging participation for next year. And what can I say about my wife who allowed me to stop my career to create this event so we could help kids!! I love you so much!!! Tired is not the appropriate word for how you feel after pulling off an event in 3 months that normally takes a year. Overjoyed is the word for how we feel about raising $16,500.00 for the Nelsons Youth Centre with more to come in the way of an online auction (details to follow). Ecstatic is the perfect word for how great it is that all of the participants were happy. We couldnt have done it without you. Thank you. Felice the foundation has been set for this dream to take off and become a yearly event. Great effort in pulling this off from from day one, finding all the sponsors, vendors, the spectacular venue, the media coverage and everything else required to make this happen. I know it was very stressful on you especially near the end. Way to go buddy you pulled it off. Many thanks to the Fchatters that helped out on on show day also.
It was a great day. My Studio was proud to be a contributor to the event. Photographically, artistically and with the graphic design. GT
