Hi Rocco, I'm new here, just searching for my dads old Dino...........I think that might be it. The serial number in the sales receipt in '72 is 01260, from Yonge/Steeles Auto in Toronto. Just trying to see what happened to it. Thanks!
This video should be here. Marques D'Elegance Slideshow http://www.motorsportphotography.ca/...3ED0#h47d13ed0 If you have a high speed connection, click on 1080 and full screen. both buttons are located at the end of the timeline. Speakers On. Enjoy! Big thanks to Eshel.
Absolutely, many thanks to Eshel for the great vid!! Hey everybody stay connected to www.marquesdelegance.ca for exciting news on next years show. Also if you havent been on the site for a while weve posted tons of photos of the day Im sure youll see either yourself or your beautiful car!! Cheers
I've scanned this thread with interest and think I'll probably attend in 2013. Curious to know who the judges and winners were for 2012. Is this info posted anywhere? I couldn't find it on the event's home page.
As I read thru the Cavallino awards I wonder how a Ferrari Dino can take a second place in the V12 class or any place in the V12 class ? Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
Yeah, you've got a point! I don't follow the significance of your sign-off. What's with Gary, Espada, 8394 etc. etc.?
I guess if you cant talk about your Espada , you would put down someone elses car and the fantastic work performed by Felice and his staff to put on this event.
Nick I will take the advice of my lawyer here and remain of above any engagement with you ? That said i will address any questions specific to my comment for the benefit of others who may be curious about the logic in your question . if one were to read my question one would read that it is in fact a valid question and since others here are asking about judging it would appear to some that judging matters thus my question . Not really sure where I am running down a car in previous post and i am sure Sam , a very close friend and owner of the dino would agree. Once again No need to answer any of this on my or anyone else's behalf as I will not engage with you or anyone who wishes to dig up ancient history. Have a nice day. Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
There's obviously some history of which I'm unaware, but I really don't see that Gary was putting down anybody's Dino -- he was merely questioning why it would be in the 12 cylinder section, which (to me at least) would appear to be a legitimate question.
I believe Mr. Spitfire is right and this is a combination of some misprints and miscommunication and that's it. I think we are safe to say we can move on without derailing this thread further. Cheers,
Not trying to make a mountain out of pasta hill so I guess the question can only be answered by Mario the organizer Gary Espada 8394 EtypesFHC 887465
Possible the Judge had a little to much vino rosso and counted double the cylinders ..........has happened to me couple od three times !
Hello to all our followers, I sure you all have heard about all the great things we have planned for this years Marques dElegance Weekend Festival Event and we hope youll all be a part of it. First I would like to apologize to the award winners on the spelling mistakes made on some of their names as well as the mistake on the incorrect award listing of Sams beautiful 6 cyl. Dino. Ive been travelling quite a bit lately and have been very busy with all the logistics of this years show that I took my eye of the ball and didnt proof read all the changes we made on the site. Some of our team members had picked up on the errors along with some others but I wasnt able to make the changes quick enough. No excuse my fault Mea Culpa Mea Culpa! Sam, I know how hard you pushed to getting that magnificent car to the event and Rocco for all your efforts at making that happen! Bravo! And what do I do reward you both by misspelling your names. Yikes Pat and Michael please except my apologies as well. All will be corrected before the week is out. Anyway stay tuned we have a host of exciting announcements that Im sure will excite you all! Ciao Felice
