That car looks so awsome, I know i sound dumb saying this, but I thought those cars where just for Ferrari, not for sale, guess I was wrong, so will he probabl get it spondered and race it, or just take it to track day?
Alex, quite the opposite, although not dumb-sounding in the least... Ferrari has built, i believe, 2 575 GTCs and sold them to privateers; it's Ferrari who's not racing them, which is unfortunate, but they're pouring all of their money into Michael Schumacher, um, i mean Formula 1...
Saw the 575 on Wednesday, had to pick up a blank key for me 355 (only $36.00)! I drooled all over myself, I figured it was the owner's. Way to go Martin. Gregg
I was just kidding about Martin picking up one. The car is display only at FOH. They can't even start the car up. But if someone was to wave enough money around... BTW, Carbon, I thought that Ferrari built 22 of these. And the car is fantastic. It is 1,400 pounds lighter than the regular Maranello. It is all carbon fiber and 100% business. My guess is that an Enzo would have a hard time keeping up. Who knows how many horses, under 3,000 pounds. This is one rock n roll dude. Take care, DrTax ps Zack, I'll send a private email, but things don't look good. Got dem ol ICU blues again.
Yes it was nice while it lasted. We met there and talked and had a great time with Joe in sales. When I asked for my keys he insisted on me writting a check....and that is when I woke up from my dream and reality hit in and I ended up driving away in a white Pontiac Grand Am with AM/FM radio. Oh yes, reality is such a useless thing.
I mean I would have written that check (post dated to 2050) but I explained to Joe that my wife would kill me for writing a $750,000 check for a car that does not have a passenger seat. That would not fly in my house....trust me.
Come on Martin! Just think of the track time fun! Actually, drop a zero, and that still wouldn't fly in my house.
I suspect Mr. Risi will park it with the 288GTO............... There's no option for a passenger seat??? Horrors!! Rip out that halon, man! LOL! I gotta have room to share with a friend! Thanks Dr. Tax. Good to see ya! I got so busy chatting I forgot to pick up my oil filler cap. I did find the one I lost.. it'd been run over a few times, but still worked.
Doc, you're absolutely right; i was totally thinking of something else, i apologize... i hate being misinformed and there i went ahead and posted misinformation... My apologies...
