Part of my maser criteria is for it to have a navi but then I heard masers navi sucks. Is this true?

Yep, sucks. The designer should be put in navigation jail!
Just love my QP, but depend on the Nav. Finally just bought a little portable Gamin. I found that a great solution; like that better than any in car nav. The portability is very helpful, I take in the house or a motel and do route planning and address entry - so it all turned out fine.

Nav?I use the nav. system all the time. I find the mish mash of unmarked lines of white and green positively soothing to look at in the night.
Do yourself a favour and buy a dash mounted compass from Walmart and you'll be one uping the Maser. system.

I have to agree, the nav system in my 2003 is pathetic. They seem to have gotten everything wrong:
    - The destination input is horrible, having to continually scroll through the alphabet/numbers. Where is the touch screen?
    - The command/menu structure and flow is inpenetrable.
    - The map display is wimpy, and rarely shows the streets on the display
    - The city selection is sometimes hopeless, since the nav CD's seem to default to 'unincorporated county' for lots of cities that are incorporated. I often don't even know what county I'm in, so entering street info and county is a non starter. I have never seen this in our Lexus or MB autos.
    - And, why a voice with a British accent? A smooth Italian accent would have been cool....

Hope I haven't missed any of the negatives.... They should have bought a Lexus to see how to do it right.

On the QP it sucks really bad.

Lexus has the best sat nav by far IMO.

Still after you hear a QP, you'll learn to read a paper map. :)

06+ Infiniti M for the best. Incredible voice recognition system and has Birds-View and Map-View maps. The Voice actually works flawlessly, unlike Acura RL's, BMW's, or the others.

Cadillac system not too bad but voice recognition sucks. I think that every nav system (Mas. included) is better than the one in my wife's Town and Country....it is horrible, we never use it.
