    Nik,
..thats what I said: I believe that there had been 2 different car. No, its unknown today which 200S was owned by Norinder. But without no doubt Bonnier was closely related to both cars.

    Ciao!

JoBo`s car was painted blue/yellow, the national colors of Sweden for that race in Imola. The 1st photo was taken prior to the race.

OK, so when #1665 -the 150S- got a new 200S-style-body then we have two very similar looking cars in that country during the period. Who`s who in the Zoo??

THe 2nd photo shows Bonnier in the Napoli GP in 1958, 2 years after the Bari event. Here we see a different rear end on the car. I strongly assume that this is #2404 as the factory played around with various rear-end-designs to improve airflow. #2404 today has a different rear section that doesn`t match the standart design of the 200S so it might be possible that this was again done by the factory before the car was sold to a privateer.

    Ciao!

its chassis #2401 and its one of the very best 200S around due to its fantastic history. This car was driven by ALL Maserati factory-tean drivers (exeption: Fangio!).

Nicely restored in Germany and now owned by an American.

    Ciao!

Race number was 68! Color was NOT black and orange in that 500 km race! It was blue/yellow.

This car was stored for many years in Brazil. It was then sold to NYC where a restoration started that was not very profund. The car was sold to the UK little later and raced on 2 ocasions. Then it was sold early last year to another Englishman who contacted me for research and advise for a good restoration. The job is now almost finished and this photos I got today from the freshly repainted car. This was the color that came on it for its 1st owner who also was from Brazil.

In his own book he wrote that he got his 150S in April 1956. He drove a Factory 150S racecar in Kristianstad GP 1956. And at Imola he drove his own 150S at the training. But in the race he drove a Factory race car painted in the same colour as Bonniers, yellow and blue.At silverstone in 1956 he came in fourth place. And the car was painted in black with an orange stripe on the car? When was the car painted in blue and yellow? Bonnier also wrote in the book that the factory made a change in the back suspension after the Oulton Park race and before the Silverstone race.

    Best regards,
    Magnus
