Now it didn't look like that in 1994 or it wasn't at the meet. But in looking at it, it's everything you would do externally if you decided to modify the car to work correctly.
Where is it now and do you know how well these changes worked?

Well I know the blue car (and owner) very well. Hmmmm. There's no reason for deceit so I'd say factory f*ckup.

    Does Scott know?

The car is still with the Postert-family in Germany and works quite well. They are currently doing an overhaul of the brake-system.

    Thanks Walter,
I wanted to get something that looked "period" . . . not too modern. Compomotive does a great job.

    Ron,
Glad the wheels worked out for you, they look great. My Stebro system works well and sounds good even without the headers. Let me know how the headers work out.
Does your Stebro have a single or twin outlets on each side? Mine has 2 outlets on each side and because of the way they're designed the exhaust flows over the inside tip and out the outboard tip. The flow over the inside tip causes a whistle (shriek) on hard acceleration. I eventually just blocked the inside tips and let all the exhaust exit from the outboard tips.

My Stebro has the single exhaust outlet. That is primarily because mine is a later car with (IMHO) the less elegant rear Merak treatment. I'm looking forward to getting it installed.

Just waiting on the headers, hopefully this week or next.

Where did you get the center caps. I can't find anything that reasonably fits.

They are 3D flexible rubber "stickers". I can't find the name of the place I got them from, it was an e-bay item purchase.

More than 20 years ago, I saw the ex-Thépenier Bora Gr4 at the racetrack in Dijon. A real "prototipo". The car is now painted in it's original silver and I think it's still owned by Jean Guikas in France.

bravo for posting a fantastic new pic of the gr4 bora, from what i understand there are just 2 of these made.

i must say i do prefer it in the origianl silver... those wheels where period correct "generic campys" used in various gr4 cars like the stratos, 911 rsr, cameros, panteras, etc of the 70's.

    much oblige

    Giotto,
are you sure that is #3001, today owned by Guikas? The sister-car #3000 was/is in red color?

    Ciao!

    Hah!

How time flies: that was the 100GT day at Dijon spring 1984!

I had no pass but showed my Lambo club member card at the gate, even though this had nothing to do with Lamborghini and the guard said ok!LOL!

The Bora Gr4 was there, red, owned by Cornet Epinat a French heir, he drove it sporadically, there was a BBLM there too, both went around at about the same speed but since neither could drive you could not really draw any conclusion.

The main event was a 246GT that blew a right rear tire at top speed right in front of the pits, shredded his fender. Turned out he had let the car sit all winter, 6 months, on low tire pressures and this was his first outing: duh!

I have some slides and since I am in Burgundy now will try to dig them out.

    I have to correct myself:

    #3000 is today with Guikas
#3001 is still hidden in a parking lot in Paris today.

When it was with Cornet Epinat then it was indeed #3000, the car that is today -again!- with Jean Guikas.

Dijon 1986... I have the same slides, and can well remember that 246GT with yellow wheels that blew the left rear tire. The fender was damaged too. Here's another photo with the Bora #AM117.3000.

Yes thank you for not making "others" do that. ;>))

It's really in a parking lot? Indoors or outdoors?
Marc, has this owner fallen on hard times or has it changed hands since you did your article.

I like the red color a lot on this car. It's much warmer and more aggressive looking.
