wow, love the silver/gray color. Ghiblis are a very classic design for sure. Heres a pic of my former car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
i just noticed...that pic was taken on greenwich ave...that is where i was born and raised. nice to see. pcb
That's not the only one I have heard with that conversion. It's not a bad a conversion and the engines themselves share much the same specs and torque figures. They even sound similar. If it means keeping it on the road or parting it out I woud not have a problem with it.
Yellow. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

the grey one is wonderfull! i have seen a red spider in my city some time ago: i know i am one of the very few, but i like more the coupe
Here is a picture of my friend's white (bianco polo park) Ghibli (4.9)SS. He aquired it from the family of the deceased first owner, and it's an original dutch car. My uncle worked for the original owner, and remembers him driving this car to work in the 70's. I think this car looks stunning in this colour! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks to be a good 2 inches too high front and rear (I like the power steering). The gray car is a bit higher in the rear. I personally like a bit of "rake". Any comments on ride heights? Spasso, Are either car yours?
I was curious about the ride height all around on the yellow one in the first shot. It looked too high in general. Too hard to tell in the second. It should been sitting like the grey one. New springs, higher profile tires? The color was nice though.

I know of no visual diffences except for the badges.. Being relatively new to the marque the only real differences that I know of are mechanical. Only the 4.9's were SS models. They had numerous improvements made throughout the car, upgraded interior for one, spin on oil filter and I think they made improvements to the A/C as well. You'll have to ask an expert for the full rundown
Spasso, don't exclude white until you've seen one yourself! I read your other thread where you say you are in the market for a 'driver' Ghibli. Here are some more colours, I took both pictures last year when my friend and I attended a Maserati rally in Tuscany, Italy. We drove there (from Amsterdam)in his 3500 Vignale Spyder. I would guess that there is no chance that the yellow Ghibli in the first pic in post 31 (the one with the funky ride height) has an engine in it.
I haven't really excluded white but I have preferences, like that yellow spyder!!. I am currently (hoping) to look at a red one too so who knows. One close positive is no black cars. I've owned black and won't go back.
I took the Ghibli out last Saturday... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And what do this photos of the red 430 and the Ghibli tells us? The Ghibli is the far more elegant car than the modern Ferrari!!! Nice shots. Unfortunately we don`t know the VIN of the Ghibli. Ciao! Walter
AS I run a register of all classic Maseratis with about 800 Ghiblis now, I would be very much interested in the VIN(s) of this car(s) incl. ownership history(ies)! please contact me offline: [email protected] Thaaaanks! Ciao! Walter
I have to agree. Two different eras but the panache of the Maser outweighs that of the Ferrari in those photos. Sell me one please.....................
There is one in mid-blue and creme-leather for sale in Germany. Its a 4.9-version. But......in strong Euros!! Ciao! Walter
I can bet the cost of purchase with the weak dollar and import fees would be well above my budget but I do like the color combination.
I am expecting photos of the car early next week. Asking price are Euro 75,600! Strong price but the car is restored! ah..almost forgot: buyers of classic Maseratis (aka Lamborghini, Ferrari etc.!) should NOT think about a "budget"!!! We are talking luxury cars here........ Ciao! Walter
