Anyone have any experience with bringing one of these cars into the US or Canada? Can the road cars be registered for North American street use? Any resources / people you can point me to for info and expertise?

I very much want one of these cars (maybe a 1997 model year), but I want to be able to drive it legally on US / Canada roads.

    Is it possible?

Check with MARANELLO71 he's a big fan of these cars and used to have one.

Maybe if you're in Canada it's easier but in the USA realistically, you're looking at utilizing the show & display provision which has a very limited annual mileage.

That's one option but not very satifying and I don't know how or if they follow up on the mileage provision.

I have no idea what it would take to actually convert one of these cars for full legal use but I suspect it's going to be many times the cost of the car. There were some late Ghibli II's with air bags so that might help.

I know that Classic Coach in NJ is doing a pair of MC12s right now so they might know "what" has to be done but how on Ghibli II is another matter. So is the expense.

I have a Ghibli II here as a pure race car but it never sees the road. I have no idea what they're like as road cars as my car is so heavily modified. They did get great reviews, mostly.

Yup, it's a Ghibli Open Cup. Strickly for the track. The owner used to own the one I have as well. He had both of them imported to the USA. They cannot be made road legal no matter what you do to them.
