Wonderful car. I have been admiring it since the first pictures. The wheel spokes almost look like the trident logo, too. Might be time to trade the 328 when the manual version comes out...I like it that much.
From the information I've seen, it will come standard with 19" V-Style alloy wheels. The one pictured above is the optional 20" Birdcage design, which (IMO) looks a lot better. Bill
Yup. I believe you can switch between the dedicated auto (requiring the console shifter), and the clutchless manual.
I heard base price was about $110,000 and a well equiped version was about $120,000. But I think I also heard that it was going to be sometime this fall when it comes out. We'll see. Bill
I freakin love it, its fresh, different, Italian, bold, beautiful and Maserati at the same time, it should be a hit. Cant wait till the Convertible and Sportier versions come out.
The car is looking great, Im glad to see they still offer the paddle shift options. I will be curious to see the performance numbers.
Ive heard late summer to early fall when dealers will start getting them. I believe orders can be made soon. The first versions will be All Auto's. same auto they put in the QP this year. But it will come with paddle shifts as well. Just more of like triptronic vs the old CC tranny. Later down the line they will offer the CC. Read an article today on the plane that said 0-60 is going to be around 5.1 - 5.2 which to me makes sense being that the car is report to be 16 inches longer than the existing GS and Coupe. Wish they would have put more hp in it to get the performance #'s down.
The body looks like Maserati unfortunately the interior is very Ferrari to me, too cold. Maybe with different colour and trim options it will look better. I hope it's more comfortable than the previous coupe. I got a drive in a 2002 last weekend. It was a very nice example and everything worked properly. The CC worked better than I had been led to believe but then I was out in the countryside on a gorgeous road. For a GT car I'd prefer more comfortable seats. The engine was very strong but over all, it didn't excite me to drive it. It seemed very appliance like. I suppose an exhaust system could fix some of that. The steering was unimpressive. My 90 Q45 makes better noises it's just nowhere near as fast. Let's hope they haven't refined all the soul out of the new one. That gorgeous body deserves it. Bob S.
