I also contacted the "seller" on ebay and requested photos and more info and his response was to see the advert. There is not much doubt that this is a scam.
Hello all! Everything is in place for K40, I will be arriving there Thursday morning ready for the first arrivals in the afternoon. We will have a dedicated KHAMSIN QUARANTA reception desk in the lobby. you can't miss it and you will see why when you arrive. For those of you arriving Friday afternoon we will be manning the desk from approximately 5.30 to 6.30 as soon as we come back from the Tour de Bourgogne, the coach bus for the off site Friday dinner will leave at 7pm sharp. Of course you can get your room keys as soon as you arrive. Wishing a wonderful trip to all those coming and to all who are not rest assured we will post plenty of photos asap! I can't wait to see the Swiss, British and German convoys arrive as well as other isolated arrivals such as Marius the Viking: may Thor and Odin be with you on the journey my friend! best regards, Marc
Made it to our overnight stop in St Omer. Didn't see 200 BOO at chunnel crossing so look forward to meeting up tomorrow with you guys. Bal
We also made it to the planned stop just north of the border between Germany and Denmark. We covered half the distance, and just have 950 kms. left. We will stop at Trier next and spend the night. Never been there, so we look forward to it. 008 are doing well, but a vibration from the prop shaft at speeds above 130 km/h make sure its a safe journey. Stein and his son arrive Bern in 380 tomorrow morning. Just got an message from them. See you on Friday Hilsen Marius
Here's hoping that the Khamsin gets somewhat better mileage than the QP3 (it is after all a lot more aerodynamic looking, at very least!) Hope you enjoy your trip, the roads are free of traffic and the meet is a success! Looking forward to seeing all the Khamsins in one place.
Gents, The SANS is coming: #380 has made it on train in Hamburg from Oslo; we expect her in Lörrach in a few hours. #1298 hopefully made the train from Vienna to be here in Zurich later this morning. The Swiss rest are starting their engines right now. For the record and as a teaser: pictures of the convoy cars K#160, K#232, K#338, K#380, K#1298, plus Bellagio #00. Dear All, I wish all of you who are attending the K40 a safe journey and a fun weekend. I wish I could have been able to join you. Please do post as much picture as possible. Armaz
Hi All Best Wishes to all at the K40 event. I plan to take 403 out for a run on the weekend weather permitting. Regards Graeme
Hi All reading my daily Piston head Email I found this article and a picture od a Khamsin getting on the ferry http://images.pistonheads.com/nimg/25854/LeMansBlogging_04-L.jpg Quote We're now at Dover queuing for the ferry, Dan and Jimmy describing learning to live with prosthetic limbs in disarmingly straightforward squaddie language while we all indulge in a bit of car spotting in the queue. Best we've seen so far is a gorgeous Maserati Khamsin, but top Le Mans marks to the guys in the Bentley Brooklands coupe too. Graeme Image Unavailable, Please Login
OK, As a starter, this is a picture from earlier today of the growing Khamsin line up. I'm sure some better pics will be posted soon Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great picture! We are allmost there, just 350 kms away. Trier is wunderbar, and a cold Bitburger tastet great after 770 kms. today. Our car may need a wash before we line it up. Is it possible to do at the castle? We turned off the Autobahn for the last leg, and the Khamsin was more happy on the country side roads with less trafic. We look forward to see you all tomorrow. Regards Marius and Hanne
Hello all, What a day! Sorry I can t post photos from this computer but 15 Khamsins here; the prototype in a truck from Holland all the others arrived safely and this is just day one, tomorrow the rest arrives for a total of 28 this weekend, not a single mechanical breakdown despite transcontinental journeys and I am also happy to say signor Ermanno Cozza and Fabio Collina from the factory arrived safely, very special to see them here I can tell you and tomorrow Marcello Gandini will arrive in the afternoon....was just walking the line up (1am here) outside and....I can't describe the feeling seeing so many lined up....reminds me of one of my first sightings of one in Divonne in 1978 in front of the casino pure magic! As a reminder the previous record was 11 in the Austrian International club meeting in 1988...when they were used cars! Right bed time! More news and photos tomorrow and then lots early next week, signing off from Burgundy, Marc
Sob! Sob! Sob! Just feeling very sorry for myself! Our plans changed a week or so ago so i potentially had a chance to make a last ditch drive. Changed the plug leads to cure the miss, but turned out was additionally a cracked distributor cap which may arrive today/monday! Have a great time and please take lots of pics of Mr Gandini with the cars. Is your book going to be there too? If so would be brilliant if Mr Gandini could sign lots of copies that are to be posted to those who have pre ordered the book! Hint, hint! Well done for organising and arranging! Paul xxxxx for you all
Hi All Kind of weird being woken up at 550am Sydney time by a French voice which was Marc. 10 minutes latter and I am on a loud speaker addressing the 60 guests all via my mobile. I have no idea if they could hear me but It was an honour the address the gathering and with such distiguished guests present. 403 went for a Club run today ( picture) and great shame the car wasnt at Khamsin Quaranta, however part of it was more on that latter Cheers Graeme Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi Pierre, Fantastic! What an ambient and weather. Thanks for sharing these great pictures with us. I wish you all a safe journey back home. BR Armaz
Hi Marc, Congratulation to organization of such outstanding event. I could even feel the spirt 5000km away. In Farsi language one would say "Khaste Nabashid" which translates to "Don't be tired". Warmest regards, Armaz
Fantastic! All who were there, please post photos and videos. I'd be interested especially in seeing details of both the prototype and the rag top conversion. Marc, great job! Surely this event is among the most significant Maserati get-togethers. Still waiting for the publishing of the Citroen years book.
Bravo on a great event Happy Fathers day to all Just getting ready to take the car out for a drive. Cheers Mark
