    -Hi Mike, interesting find!

Here is the link to the Ebay auction you mention.

1981 Francis Mandarano with A Maserati Car Press Photo | eBay

-Graeme that automatic in the Uk has been discussed before and yes it needs a big comittment. I would review the ownership documents carefully as well since its history seemed a bit...complicated. Don't remember the chassis number off the top of my (possibly ageing) head.

    Best regards,

    Hi Bal!

Thanks for pointing it out: I had completely missed the fact that two K's were mentioned by Graeme. I have a detailed listing of RHD Khamsins in the UK thanks to Andy Heywood but that number plate is not in it.
Will definitely try to find out via him and the seller!

Travelling the next three days though.

    Best regards,

    Marc

PS: I will hazard a 2 cent sorry 2 pence guess: it could be 411 sold by Martin Chisholm the well known dealer a few years ago, same colors, same buttons on the inside of the seats, pair of mirrors of that style though at the time it had additional lights under the ft bumper but those are easily removed. This car has the rare blind to cover the trunk but I don't have a photo showing 411's trunk at all. It had a different reg number then but they do get changed...

    Hi Guys
While we are sort of on the subject of covering things.
Has any one found a place to buy propper fitted car covers for Khamsins, with a Maserati Logo?

    Cheers.

    Marc,

Gee ... and I thought you were in a book signing tour in Manila :)

Contact your mail provider as they should be able to restore most of your emails and contacts.

Yeah I got it. Was $20K enough? LOL :D

I just got a virus of some sort the other day and it's really new as nothing detects it.
Every morning I have an open webpage telling me to either enter my user-id and Password or let it clean up my disk space because I m shockingly low.

I have 3 TB of free space across 5 disc RAID5 array. Low ... yeah sure ...

Here's what I've found out so far. Not fixed completely yet.

    Google Groups

I don't know if it's related to your problem but I'm also getting a couple emails from unknown people with a blank "TO:" and "Subject". That started before I got this virus though.

A special place in hell for these morons.

    Hi Bob,

Yes may they rot in hell...I had an aunt call from Sweden today all worried...but most will (I hope!) figure out that it is a scam and not from me.

There is some very clever and nasty stuff out there obviously, what a pain. I am getting in my Khamsin Registry mailbox emails that are completely bank with no sender email, no text no title...

But back on topic: does anybody have nice driving photos of this summer to post (as opposed to the usual workshop photos for a change;-)

    Best regards,

    Marc

    Hi Graeme,

I do have a very good right hand drive 5 speed available by private treaty but it is of course in Europe.

If your client is willing to go through the shipping and import duty costs then email me and we will go from there.

Regarding covers I know the owner of the prototype Khamsin had a bespoke one, not sure who made it, try ebay.

    Best regards,

    Marc

These guys should have the pattern for a Khamsin. They did one for my Espada and it's a heavy very soft interior cover. Very nice. $200 ish. You won't be disappointed.

A fellow Khamsinista here in SA uses the cover of a modern Maser, I think Granturismo. He has more modern mirrors on his car, and they fit the pockets in the cover. The cover fits the car well!
Same cover won't work on mine due to the mirrors and their placement.

Very little progress on 435, it's too cold here (yes, in Africa) but I may have found what must be the last stock of the brown dash material. Samples are on their way.

    Best,

    Jack.

I have a cover that is made from the fleese material that is used to make sloppy Joes/Jumers/Anercks/lightweight fluffy oneside/flat the other side, and an out door cover however I would like a show cover.

Marc I will pass on the info about the Khamsin. Can you email me sone basic stats price etc.

    Regards
    Graeme

Agreed Graeme, beautiful colour-combo, very chique. I also like the small steering wheel boss. It'll make someone very happy. What are they asking for it?

    Best,

    Jack.

I'm a big green fan these days and this one is very nice looking.

Is the alcantara on the dash behind the switches and stuff normal?
It looks nice now but that's going to look bad very quickly I should think. No stops at McDonalds in this car please ... :D

The close up of the rear tail pipe etc. Is that some of the textured undercoat and stone chip resistant paint on there?
