I am not sure why the Levante is struggling so much in the market place. Most seem to agree that it is a very competent car - in its class... Will the new Trofeo version help turning this around?
The Levante Trofeo is a halo car, it’s going to have an MSRP of around $170,000.00, so it’s not going to boost volume. Love him or hate him, Marcchione has helped Maserati produce some really good cars. The mistake he’s made is having Chrysler personnel run the company and appointing Chrysler dealers as Maserati Alfa points. That is something that Daimler never did, (Chrysler and Mercedes were separate). Even DeTomaso quickly realized that Chrysler personnel and dealers don’t belong in the in the upscale luxury car market.

I hope the new Levante models (GTS/Trofeo) will help sales a bit in the short to medium term, but a new hybrid driveline is probably the key to boost sales.
My Wife LOVES Hers!!!.....She's not a car person per say, But she tells everyone that the Levente is the Best car she has ever had....She' had it for a year now and drives it everyday....so far so good. No problems. .......I don't know why we don't see more of them.....Her's is the only one in Town......they are just not advertised at All.

What’s wrong is you’re comparing the Cayenne Turbo with 541 HP starting at 124k to the Maserati Levante Trofeo with 590 HP starting at 170k when you should be comparing it to the Levante GTS with 550 HP starting at 120k.
$90k more than the standard model? Yikes. Need to find a new SUV for the wife. The levante is on my list.

my father is comparing a Levante and Macan and chasing down rumors and hearsay. We know the Levante is bigger, more like a Cayenne. Are Levantes using Chrysler electronics? Is that a good or bad thing? I thought I read earlier that the Levante is mostly Ghibli based. Seems like the engine mechanicals would be very reliable. How is the reliability of these cars, especially compared to the Macan?
