does a Maserati Cambiocorsa use the same engine/transmission as the 360? I was told it does. If so, how about the handling/suspension?

Anyone drive one of these....? While not as stylish as the 360, if you had pretty much the same performance with 2/3 of the styling as 1/3 the price... well that math looks pretty good for a daily driver.

    Comments?

It does not have the same engine as a 360...closer to a detuned 430. What year, how many miles, coupe or cab? I have ridden in one, have not driven one. Very nice car. Problem is that it's a little pricey(acquisition and maint.) for a daily driver and not very exotic for a weekend car.

I had one as a loaner car for 3 days and got to really drive it, both in the country and the city. I do not like the f1 system for city driving but find its great for open roads. If you like the system , would make a great daily driver I think, though not sure of the reliability issues. I was suprised by the reactions, including people taking pictures etc. All the things you get used to driving a ferrari, but I always thought the Mas. styling to be very bland.

I agree with the posts... I also think the styling is bland... I just can't get excited about this as an exotic sports car, even if the performance is good.

I have a coupe, 6 speed. Nothing comes close for the money I paid (I bought one used under warranty). The block casting is the same as the 430, but the internals, the head, and the 80 extra hp are the difference. I like the elegance, the comford, and the performance is more than I can use on the street, or on the highway.
02 Spider have the cowl shake issue, somewhat fixed in 03.
At 55K, it would be a deal.

    Luke,

Thanks ... I went to your profile and saw it from another angle. I dare say that the coupe has better lines than the Spyder. But then, I think that way about the Dino GT vs GTS.

I am pretty impressed at how much you get for $59k... are you saying at $59K, it's just an average deal?

I think 02 spiders are the bottom of the totem pole. Selling prices are from 52 to 65K right now. Also keep in mind that cambiocorsa clutches usually last no more than 20K miles (as confirmed by 2 dealer techs, east and west coast).
Still....what else can you get for that kind of money and net all the style, exclusivity, and power? A used 911? A Viper out of warranty?
I bought the coupe because it was a "family car"
    :)

Agree!! Although the Maser doesn’t rank high on my scale of beauty. The car is a joy to drive and when compared side by side with the 360 it can hold its own and give the 360 a good run! Skyhook is a must!

Hands down you will not find a better value if you can find a clean one in the 50-70K range!

The Motor is my favorite part of the car! CHAINS not belts!

Toss a Tubi on the car and oooohhhhhh la la!!

    That alone Hogs My Hooter!

I actually own the Maserati he is speaking of. The car is absolutly mint w/ Fuchs exhaust, skyhook, lowered 2" by F&M of Orange Co.(dealer), 04-05 wheels, painted calipers, and all service records and updates are done... and it's still under warranty. Car is complete w/ all keys, etc.
I will let it go for $59,500 FIRM. A very fair price for a LOT of car.
What can you buy that is this unique, this powerful, and... Italian for under $60k?
Car is complete w/ all keys, etc. If anyone else is interested, I (David) can be reached at 925.788.3470 or [email protected]
This car is clean, no stories, etc.
