Referring to last few entries in the Khamsin thread where some nice anecdotes from the past have been shared, i thought everyone could share some nice experiences they have had with their cars or generally Maserati related. They can be funny, sad or just odd.
Since its cold outside and in most regions we are unable to be on the road with them, maybe we all enjoy a bit of reading.

May i start with a funny little episode i had a few weeks ago:
Drove to the nearby petrol station on the way to work in my Kyalami at 6am.
Filled up the one tank and then got into my car to turn the car around to fill up the other side when the lady in the petrol station came running out and yelled at me in a strong Berlin accent "What is this goin to be, young man?" assuming i want to drive off without paying.
When i tried to explain to her that the car has 2 tanks and both need to be refilled she answered: "What kind of a strange car is this? Is it still from the GDR?"
I said: "Nope, it´s from Italy."
She replied: "Well, can you at least drive it far with its 2 tanks?"
    I answered: "Ehh, no."

After i paid i drove off with a smile. Unfortunately i was in a hurry, otherwise i would have taken her for a spin.

Looking forward to hear your stories

That's funny, I can see the gas station employee freaking out when you started driving after filling up the first tank.

Actually I did not know that the car had 2 tanks. Unusual...

The Maserati Kyalami is one of my favorite cars from the 70s along with the Citroen SM Maserati.

Assume, due to the lack of other postings, that this entire forum is about Maserati related stories in one way or the other and this thread is too unspecific.
Maybe all those stories are kept for offline conversations as well.
Unfortunately i wasnt able to start with a Fangio, Cozza, Ustinov or other celebrity related anecdote but if someone else has something to share, please feel free to do so.
Am sure there are many readers who appreciate as well

Just received an original pic of my car (AM1290018) at the barcelona motorshow in 1977
It was exhibited at the Maserati stand before it was sold to a gentleman in Barcelona who kept it until he died in 2008.
