Are Masersti service prices and parts about the same cost as Ferrari?

For example oil changes, if your gearbox goes out, etc.

You should ask this question in the Maserati section, specifying which model and year you have or are considering. You will get far more answers there. Too many F people are blinkered (and I am an F person as well so I can say it).

It is mostly a vintage section but there are plenty of recent and new car owners there too.

My experience/what I've seen, prices are roughly the same, both parts & service. As a note my basis is a 06 Gransport. It shares many parts with the F430 era of cars and equally hard/easy to work on. I'd say though parts availability is poorer on the Maserati.

The reason I am asking this is because I have been spinning a little bit in fear of costs on my 488 after warranty runs out.

But if Maserati prices are roughly the same and if there are ton more people that have Maserati's, for some reason I can deal with this better mentally.

unless you are buying an 06 or older 4200. A 07 or older QP V or one of the rare 09 GranTurismos with 599 gearbox you won’t have any issues with Maserati gearboxes. They are ZF 6 speed automatic in the GranTurismo and QP V after 07. All others have a ZF 8 speed automatic.

I always said the same but a Maserati isn’t a Ferrari.

Amen to that. I don’t even like that they’re commonly in the same dealership.
