This little spyder passed me in San Diego today. Kinda interesting to see the white with blue stripe paint job. Image Unavailable, Please Login
who ever did that must have been on drugs...it looks f****n ugly. it looks like the paint job belongs to a dodge neon or ford gt40, but not on the mas.
Would probably look better on a Coupe. Stripes remind me of Vipers. Not a good thing for a Maser, IMO.
I SAW THIS CAR AT THE LITTLE ITALY CAR LAST SATURDAY. THE STRIPE IS NOT THAT BAD BUT IF YOU HEARD IT AND SAW THE BEAUTIFUL WOMAN DRIVING IT, IT MAY CHANGE YOUR MIND. VERY SEXY.
Ok, everyone get a Maserati historical education. The white body with two blue stripes down the middle is the paint sceme from of the US based Briggs Cunningham Racing Team. During the era when cars were painted under the international racing color of the team. The US Racing colors were white with a blue stripes, which also gave us the terms Italian Racing Red & British Racing Green. Joe
Good call, Joe. If I may add, I believe Belgium was yellow (with a black nose?), France was blue (like the blue we saw on most Bugatti EB110s), and if I'm not mistaken, Germany was silver. (Was the US white with blue, or blue with white? Carrol Shelby's Cobras were usually blue with white...) Anyone know of an online list of the national racing colors? As for the stipes on this Maserati, I think they're distinctive. They're the same colors, as pointed out, as used in the Trofeo racing series, and bear a certain heritage for Maserati as well, even though they were the American colors.
