I'm back on track with a project to build a Tipo 151/3 for race and road.
I wonder if anyone here (or Barrie himself) can put me in touch with Barrie Baxter who had the beautiful 151 at Goodwood last year.

It would be good to identify any of the pitfalls he encountered in the construction that we don't fall into those.
My contact address ([email protected] or, Ph +64.9.630-9035) can be forwarded to Barrie.

    Thanks and cheers
    Tony Olissoff

years ago(10) there was a factory body mounted on a QP 3 chassis in Long Beach. he wanted $75,000. I passed. probably still there. he had a IHC model MW (1914) that I was interested in but he was too high. besides I already owned two.

Just recently the car on the pics saw the day light.
A Mexico was used as a donor, the De Dion rear axle comes from a Quattroporte 1.
Beautilull craftmanship and runs very well. A fun car!
During the research for the car we came accross parts claimed to come from the original 151-3 that was damaged a Le Mans. The short block of the original engine was told to have been used for a, in those days, new 5000 delivery... the engine was barely run in when the accident happened...
Some day, some how, some one is going to make a car again from it.

    Ciao,

    Bart

    Hi Graeme,

My friend only does these projects on a one by one basis.
Do you mean you have a 4.7 dry sump engine available? If so please drop me a PM?

    Take care,

    Bart

By all reports the engine from Tipo 151/3 was used in the Tipo 65 Birdcage where it remains today.
