Hello all: a few photos from Gstaad: The 3500 Vignale spyder was extremely good, restored to perfection by its Dutch owner who then drove it a lot through Europe, from Holland to Tuscany and back for example: that is the spirit! The Mistral spyder was also quite nice, a car long in the ownership of the same lady in France. The only car parked outside was the Royale, rare last version of the Quattroporte III which was as good as it gets: one owner car from Switzerland, from Gstaad itself actually, an estate sale, it was so cheap and attractive that doubled its estimate. In an auction which showed a total lack of confience from buyers (just 10 of 28 Ferraris sold) the Masers did well, for results see Classicdriver, anamera or Bonhams websites. That morning went to see Khamsin AM120282 in lausanne, a very very nice car: photos in the Khamsin thread soon. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all! best regards, Marc Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

A nice sign in the auction and a couple of parking lot views: it appears they don't melt in the snow! best regards, Marc Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Marc! Glad to see you had a good time! The Vignale looks amazing - makes me want one. Just out of curiosity: How much did the Royale go for? (My uncle sold his - one of the last ones built - a few years back. A mistake in my eyes.) EDIT: Just found it on the website ... roughly 17000 euros.
Hello Alex! Bit colder in nVienna than Santa Barbara I guess huh?! http://www.anamera.com/en/editorial/article/news/results-bonhams-gstaad-auction/index.html?no_cache=1&tx_ttnews%5BbackPid%5D=224&cHash=4933dc38ad It sold for 27840CHF actually. Hello Maserati and Ferrari friends, It is nice to see some photos and your comments on my (now former) Vignale Spyder which I have sold in Gstaad. I have spent 5 wonderful days in Gstaad, staying at the suberb Palace hotel and doing some skiing, next to being at the viewing and the auction for 2 days talking to friends and saying goodbye to my lovely Vignale Spyder which I have used a lot indeed enjoying every kilometer of the around 30.000 kms I did in it, in those almost 5 years. Yesterday I had coffee here in Amsterdam with the very pleasant Swedish gentleman (biz5300) who, as we speak, is transporting my car to Stockholm. Luckily I have already spoken on the 'phone to the new private gentleman who bought my car and I am sure she will be in good hands. I have enormously enjoyed the car and I think I have taken good care of her, Now it is time for the new owner to enjoy her. Meanwhile I will give my attention to my other cars and to preparing my Ferrari 360 GTC I bought in Maranello (#2060). I hope to be using that in 2009 at some selected events as well as my other Maserati's and Ferrari's. If anyone wants some other photos of tyhe Vignale , let me know, I have lots of them. By the way, the Mistral Spyder at Gstaad did not sell, but is a very nice car and especially a good driver as well. I have driven that car quite a bit, especially memorable were the 3 days of driving in and around Modena a few years back when it was owned by a good friend of mine from Holland. It has a very neutral roadholding and is particularly nice to drift and powerslide in the wet..... Best regards and wishing all of you a very healthy and happy 2009, Michaël Boertien
We will take good care of her here in Sweden. One of the ex. swedish 3500 Vignale is now for sale in Texas. Now we have four Vignale spiders in Sweden. What is 360 GTC (#2060) ? Best regards! Magnus
Thank you Marc! Very kind of you. And Magnus, that is a Ferrari 360 GTC racing car, built in 10 copies by Ferrari Corse Client/Michelotto. Mine was built in 2004 and won the Italian and Spanish GT Championships both in 2005 and the 1000 Milas of Interlagos in 2006. I enclose some photographs. The big photograph is recent, after having brought her to Holland this summer. Best regards, Michaël Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Michael, congratulations for the successful sale of your Vignale-Spyder. Truly deserved ! Ciao! Walter
Dear Walter, Having just come back from some skiing in Val d'Isére, I just saw your kind remarks. Thanks a lot, it is most appreciated! I have spoken to the new owner in Stockholm a couple of times now, and it is very nice to learn that is has gone to a true enthousiast. If she only gives him half as much fun as she has given me, he will have e brilliant time. Best regards, Michaël
