It appears that it was all related to drugs smuggling and biker gangs and stuff. If this turns out to be true, sorry folks, I can't really feel bad for them. They knew it was coming at some point or another (it's gangsterism after all!!!). As long as they don't kill innocent bystanders, fire at will! I ain't even gonna flinch.
The truly sad part in all this, are the loved ones they left behind. THey are the ones that will truly suffer for many years to come, if not the rest of there lives. Imagine, the poor mother's and fathers....held these children when they were babies, and saw the innocence in their eyes, and had hopes and dreams for them.....imagine, the brothers and sisters, never having nephews, nieces, xmas, birthsday ever again. Too me the sorrow is the one left behind to deal with all the BULL****....a smeared family name for years.......being Ontarios largest crime scene, they will never escape the shame....the looks, the stares....always worrying about there own children, whether they will be faced with hardships.... "wasn't you're uncle one of the ....????" Truly sad for the families left behind to pick up the pieces. My prayers are with them !
Big Red, that's what I first thought about as well. These guys decided to pursue a criminal life, and even though their families may have disapproved, they must feel very sad today. I do understand the families' sorrow, but I just can't feel bad for them, because it's all a consequence of bad decisions.
I dont feel bad for them at all.....my pain and sorrow are for the ones left behind. You know they had people that truly loved them...regardless of what they did, or did not do. Imagine, a mother, and or father what they think about at 2am while lying in bed alone....that sorrow and pain is what pains me.
I agree 100%. One of the guys killed lived near me. It was a young Portuguese guy who died and his mother was seen outside FREAKING out! As stated in the newspaper. That mother and father will never be the same. Dude, told her he was "just gonna be a few hours". Pretty sad (Not stating that because of the Portuguese connection BTW). It's a sad situation and the same goes for the other 7's family. My heart goes out to all their families.
That reminds me of the london bombings. A girl called after she escaped the explosion in the underground at Kings Cross saying she was Ok and that she is going to get on the number 30 bus (which also exploded) talk about unlucky eh?
I'm from a smaller town, so every time I hear of something like this it hits close to home. I know it's gang related, but that doesn't mean there won't be bystanders next time.
