So deny freedom of expression to F1 fans of Massa. Utterly idiotic as was that race in Singapore. Well done F1. Moronic.

They also denied Massa from attending this weekends GP as if to say" Please don't come, we don't agree with what you are doing?"

The 2 groups agree'd due to litigation ongoing it would be best if Massa did not show-up and take part as an F1 Ambassador as he is contracted to do. Certainly understandable given the case filing.

    Meh, reputation is for losers.

If he doesn't go all the way and win or go down fighting he's just that.

Before, he is a loser, but still with some money and a reputation.
After, he will be a bigger loser, without any money, friends, or reputation.
This is not a fight, but a fantasy that is fuelled by some who has different interests than he has.
How many have I seen going to the courts to "fight" and come back broken.

    Comical.

    Pure speculation.

    Expectations.

You go in there to fight, 100% faith, zero expectations.

Whether it's 5 years, 50, or a life time. Losing is impossible.

Let's see which court will be declared having jurisdiction. If, as the FIA bylaws say, it is a french court, his chances are exactly Zero. Loosing is guaranteed. The title will never be his. Never, ever. "Théorie de la perte de chance", been there, done that, I know the position of the french Supreme Court, etc...BUT he might get, if lucky, some financial compensation. Not a question of Faith, BUT of expectations.
10 years-old kids are the only one believing in "fighting for the fight"; childish...he will end ruined (his choice), and whatever was left of his reputation, ruined as well.
And I still believe, as my father, my grand-father and all those before them said, that, in life "a good name is something important".
He is only making a nuisance of himself, that's all.

The only reputation that matters is the one with the guy upstairs. Everything else is "child's play".

A child's play absolutely, as Massa behaves like a cry baby. He didn't loose the title in Singapore, he lost it by a serie of mistakes, notably in Silverstone.
If he needs a court to explain this to him, I have no problem with that. Some people actually needs it.

Take the Bardinon succession, for instance; everybody told the guy "don't sell the 250 GTO, it is not yours, legally that car belongs to the Estate, the title might be in your name, but according to french Law a title doesn't mean ownership". He sold the car nevertheless.
Then, had to go to court, as his brother and sister didn't agree. Almost everybody, again, told to him "settle, but don't go to court, you've got zero chance"; but he found lawyers - one always find lawyers - and went to court. He lost, of course; including in front of the supreme court, which makes the decision definitive.
Had to put the sale's money back into the Estate, plus interests; plus he was charged all the costs of the proceedings, including the opposite lawyer's fees.

And, whatever you might think, reputation matters to me. A lot; one of a man's most respectable and valuable assets.
Like trust, it takes years to build, and might be destroyed forever in one minute.
Zero respect left for Massa: "Move over, Felipe, Fernando is faster than you".

I guess it probably will be settled out of court, but which court, I don't know.
Massa could receive some compensation, but not the 2008 title.
In short, the FIA would pay him to stop his legal action; it's better than to pursue and risk losing, IMO.
I think the whole case is farcical, and motivated by greed.
Personally, I am never in favour of "revisionism", and I wouldn't like F1 history to be rewritten.
My esteem of Massa is now rock bottom.

Ferrari, Alpine, Flavio Briatore, and former Renault sponsor given preservation orders in Felipe Massa case

A preservation notice is an instruction to ensure documentation is not deleted, destroyed, altered or annotated in any fashion.

Any and all documentation and information pertinent to the case, which could include sponsorship agreements, clauses, renewals, communications with FOM and the FIA about the events of 2008 and ’09, and any documentation regarding the investigation into Renault and the World Motor Sport Council’s reportage are also to be retained.

A preservation notice? FIFTEEN years after the events? Are they joking? All documentation pertaining to the case has probably already been shredded after ten years or so.

Yeah...I wonder how that conversation will go:
Massa: "Hey Lewis, can I count on you to help me take the 2008 WDC from you in court?
Lewis: "Sure Felipe, just as soon as the FIA gives me the 2021 WDC, I'll be there....no, really....book it....seriously"

Massa is now proving himself to be a real loser who never had the talant nor the class to be a WDC.

If you needed class to be world champion, Elton wouldn't know what that was!!
Ps: Massa has a lot more class..and talent than several world champions.

I was wondering when certain member’s obsession with “class” would rear it’s silly head…

As for Massa, I can’t help feeling a little bad for the guy, IMO he’s getting bad legal advice on something that he can’t win, but he’s a big boy, and it’s his call to pursue this. As usual, the lawyers are the only ones that will win.

PS. Why are his lawyers bringing up Hamilton? He has nothing to do with this. Call me crazy but I would be talking to Alonso and Villeneuve since they are the real players in this s$$t show.
    And Bernie, of course.
