http://www.motorsportmad.com/view/2348/sensational--massa-and-kubica-battle-end-of-japanese-gp thanks phil
Almost just as beautiful as Alonso vs Hamilton on the opening lap of the Belgian GP. Thanks to the available run off space nothing serious happened. I'm sure otherwise this would have ended in tears. Both drivers went over the line IMO. It seems they didn't give eachother any room.
...WOW!!!!...wasnt Massa the worst on the wet track?...jeez, this guy is every bit as good as Kimmi on the wet...that was no easy pass, and Kubika is one of those "nothing to loose" drivers...but were agressive, but respected each other enough not to end up in a barrier! WAY TO GO MASSA!!!!
Phil was no worse in the rain than the two time WDC. He seems to get better every race. Maybe Yellowbird is right about 2008.
...maybe the most important thing is Massa has proved HIMSELF every bit as good and fast as Kimster...and if this keeps going like this, his heart will make him WDC 2008...were will Massa be on the standings with no Ferrari failures?...beyond Alonso, and within shooting Range from LH... Chappeau to Massa...he just made the late nite show! So long for the Massa detractors that kept saying he was worthless in the Rain...I saw Alonso spining and crashing for no particular reason...he´s cracking real bad if you ask me, this LH has him nailed phsycologicaly
He really demonstrated what he is capable of. There is no doubt he has WDC potential but he can be his worst enemy. I hope he stays with the Scuderia and get's it all sorted out for 2008.
That was great footage. It also points out how paved runoff areas are much better than gravel. That duel would have been over after the first corner otherwise.
i have no doubt he would have takken Heikki if he was allowed to. then, Lewis was about 14 secs away with 10 laps remaining...
...Ferrari sais the FIA didnt delivered to them the notice about the extreme weather Tires...I guess if it comes out true, bad intentions behind all this I can smell...they are trying to back Hamilton just like this? ...I wouldnt be surprised...
We will never know; The WCC was decided in a courtroom thus putting Ferrari in a spot to vie for the WDC alone. If not for that Massa never would have had to make his last "tire change" and would have been in position to challange for First and Second. Great video BTW. If you watch Massas hands, the few times he wrestled with the wheel were when he went off track; There was still some traction left on track.
The most refreshing part aboutthis whole thing was that both drivers got out of their cars, shook hands and had a good laugh about it. I doubt Alonso would have done the same to Massa.
Just because he didn't moan about it for the media doesn't mean there wasn't damage on the car Yoyo psychology LH is pushed by invisible hands
Alonso said after the race the the damage to the car had nothing to do with the crash. He simply aquaplaned and hit the wall. His own fault by his own admission.
Yeah I know. But, at this point there is nothing to gain from excuses. It's war - you win or you lose trying. Admitting it's your fault is maintaining control.
