Consider if Massa was not performing as he has been, Ferrari would be an embarrassment so far. Consider if Massa was not liked by the media the comments we would be hearing now about our team. Consider he is winning races, setting fast laps against all the other drivers - including his own teammate.

Consider giving this kid the credit he deserves. He is winning races for OUR team.

He will be a deserving WDC.

Ron, when you consider most are more interested in Kimi not winning that Felipe picking up the silverware and plenty think the weekend was a real disappointment it is going to be a long season for a Felipe fan on F-Chat.

Maybe like LeMans of old once Felipe has worked his ass off and got a commanding lead he could do a driver change at the last stop and hand Kimi his car and a win to keep all the miserable Kimi fans on the board happy. lol

Ron, did you look closely in the pits at MS and see the Futaba R/C set that he was holding? And the extra aerial on Felipe's car. That explains why he could adjust the moulding in the cockpit at 200mph while letting go of the steering..........................

It's all making sense now, whereas Kimi has to to drive his car himself.

Shhhhh, that was a secret. Don't give it away. That blows my argument. I thought that interior adjustment bit was kinda of cool. Even Massa's hands are radio controlled.

What is even neater, is the long range R/C car that Schumi was controlling from South Beach when Massa won his last race.

    Serious questions:

Why does it even matter which Ferrari driver is winning as long as one of them is winning? Why is anyone on FChat, a Ferrari fan website, being critical of a winning driver on the team that we are supposedly cheering for at every GP? Seems like the only comments should be ones of praise, right?

If Hamilton had been drafted by Renault, would everyone be saying that he is a let down like they are saying about Heikki?

Or is Hamilton only making a great showing because he is in a superior car and he is just as deficient as some think of Massa? Why does anyone think that Hamilton is better than Massa? Has Hamilton ever tried to pass on track?

I only remember three on track passes so far this F1 season: Massa trying to pass Hamilton, Heidfeld passing Alonso, and Alonso trying to pass Massa. Of those three, only Heidfeld's was successful, both Massa and Alonso failing at their attempts.

Does that mean Heidfeld is actually the best F1 driver?

Does this mean that Massa and Alonso are not very good?

Does it mean that neither Hamilton or Raikkonen are any good since neither has even tried to pass on track at any race?

Or should we give Alonso and Massa credit for being the only two drivers with balls enough to try to pass where it was next to impossible?

If Alonso did not try to pass would McLaren fans be ripping him a new one?

If Massa did not try to pass Hamilton would Ferrari fans be ripping him a new one for not even trying?

Do live in kindygarten or something?

Come on there is a heck of a lot more to F1 than just winning races. Even when MS was boringly winning we were still discussing things.

How you win is what makes history ... not many people talk about all of Fangios wins, but many refer to his '57 German GP one, for example.

Common here. with due respect to Hamilton, the current hype is going around him is due to the fact he gels properly with the word consistency. yes, no argument with the fact he's been working hard from the tender age of 9-10 years old to be where he is today.

but lets be realistic. just one fast lap, and 4 podiums and people are making a big fuss outta this. please, remember, i'm not his critic or anything like that, ( in fact, deep down, if the titles doesn't come to Maranello, i really wish Hamilton, and not FA will take it ). but, it just happens that Lewis is in a top notch team at the moment. good for him.

but, i think, it's a lil too early to be getting into the hype he's the greatest, and heck, Bernie even compared him to MS. MS came from a budget team, and to a midfield team, Benetton. he turned the team around, before moving to another midfield team, Ferrari. they were even struggling to win races when MS came aboard.

so how can Lewis be so highly rated? he's done thousands of kilometres in testing, he grew up around the team, and he should know the car inside out. he worked hard and earned his spot there, no question. but comparing him to Massa, and heck...even MS? thats rubbish...

Kimi is also with a top team which he has logged some kilometers with. What's his excuse?

Ah Monaco, the ultimate parade circuit. I do hope for rain, fog, ice or snow :)
Because if the weather is perfect, we will most likely know the race podium finishers after qualifying on Saturday. As much as I like the pageantry of Monaco, as far as racing goes, I would be happy if the FIA would not count it as a real race. OK, back to the topic. With thirteen races left, Kimi could easily be back in the WDC race with just a few wins. Remember last year, many though MS was out of it and suddenly in the European series of races MS came back to challenge.

Right now it seems like FM is more mouldable which hopefully will include his weaknesses. I'm a little surprised at how well he is doing. Hopefully Kimi gets it together soon.

The real issue to me is why does Kimi always look like he is hungover. the man just doesn't have the physical conditioning that Filipi does.

I am beyond impressed with Louis Hamilton. Leading the championship? Just insane. He WILL win a race. And he might even win the title.

oh, and I like Filipi. I always thought the media was way to harsh on him last season.

kimi's still the best driver out there IMO. his car broke this race, and he's always going out heavier than Massa.

It's still a long season Massa certainly is carrying the team but what about the first race of the season where Kimi totally dominated?

If I was given the opportunity to do laps on any circuit I would choose this one, even if the car I was given was a Toyota van. Completely challenging and bloody fast.

Not entirely the point. His and Ferrai's resurgence is what made the season much more exciting, and he certainly would have had his eigth title if it wasn't for that extremely random engine blow, with timing that was almost suspicious. So let's say that Kimi has plenty of time to get things together, whatever those issues may be, and win the title.

exactly....he's with a good team. I can see he is also a great driver, but would he really be doing as well if let's say he was on Red Bull, Honda, Toyota..etc.?

Monaco baby! two weeks! Can't wait! :)

He doesn't appear to be able to get past Massa and the more that Massa dominates him the less competitive Kimi becomes.

Right. So it all comes down to how long will it take Kimi to get his **** together. Also, will he do it in time to win enough races for himself?

When the season started, i was bound that Kimi will be the ruler in F1. But now, the F-Teams first member is Massa IMO. Kimi's in a summer dormancy.

That's because of the stupid points system. The same reason why Hamilton is leading the championship without one win. I'ts designed to keep everybody close together and therefor 5 points is massive and not that easy to repair (without relying on failures from the opposition). It also means that one or two DNFs will cost dearly and maybe the championship (look at last year as an example).
