Remind me again what the final point standings were between Massa and Kimi last season? Oh ya, and what are they so far this season too.
Not sure about the rumors but I bet Massa's "worried discomfort" today has something to do with the three drivers lining up right behind him tomorrow....namely the driver in the 4th grid position.
True but we all know what the thread is going to turn into as it has already started to on the second page which is tedious to say the least. I don't remember them saying anything about it during the Friday practice, I wasn't paying close attention so I could have missed it but they were pretty much focused on comments with regards to the wet slippery track conditions.
I wish he could be this inconsistant all the time 2nd 1st now poll. If that is inconsistant.............and believe me there are a couple of members here that are chewing their nails to the cuticles watching Massa do good.
Just watched the press interviews after qualifying.. Massa did seem rather down beat considering he was on pole..but not enough to read to much into it. Lewis, normal cheese speel. Heikki..really nice guy comes over totally genuine, the best of kimi without the mumble.
It is nice to see a Finn with some personality As to why Massa looks sad maybe his GF dumped him or something? I did see that his dad was in the garage.
Felipe just got married in the off-season, if he looks sad already thats going to be quite a relationship.
How can some of you guys watch the race and actually wish for something to go wrong with Massa? And don't lie, deep down you know you are.
Ferrari first, driver second. That's the way it should be for all of us. I like Felipe to do well (preferably with Kimi ahead) but wishing a driver to do badly is hypocritical if you say you are a true Tifosi.
agreed, however, noticed what Kimi was quoted saying post race in Spain. with overtaking so difficult in F1 these days, getting on pole is like getting 1 point out of 10
I just watched Friday practice again and they didn't say anything about it. Who knows, maybe they got Kubica or Alonso. I guess well shall see.
They (Speed TV) did hint at it again at the beginning of the race broadcast today, but still no follow up or any substance. It'll be interesting to see whether any websites/newspapers pick up the story tomorrow or whether it just was Speed TV running their mouths.
I heard that as well and it seemed as if they were dismising the rumor. At least thats the way that I took it. The commentators (what i heard/interpreted) said something to the effect of that it would be foolish of Ferrari to replace Massa because he has done very well for ferrari, better than those before him and then they listed off irvine, barichello etc...
Varsha was all pro Massa and thought the idea of replacing Massa with Alonso was foolish. So that seems to be the rumor going around.
I noticed that comment too. I must say that I think they should have gone into more details on these rumors if they felt there might be any truth in them though. Of course, on the other hand, if they did not deem the rumors to be all that credible, they probably shoudl not have mentioned it at all...
