Next in series... overheat issues and gearbox linkage assembly I'm not sure if his logic is correct for diagnosing coolant pump operation. The HVAC heater has its own pump. Can this small pump still heat up the cabin if the engine coolant pump is not working? The pump/thermostat assembly on these cars has more connections than a human heart so it's hard to determine if water will still circulate through the HVAC system with the pump inoperative. If the HVAC hot water still needs to go through the engine pump, will broken pump vanes allow the coolant to go to the HVAC?
lovely result for his Dad, who seems to have endure his fair amount of torture hilarious that, after successfully rebuilding the gearbox, they still failed with the interminably difficult window regulator
The wheels are way, way, WAAAAY to big for me though, they almost look like 21"?? the already tiny steel brakes look even smaller than they already did in those wheels! Other than that, nice result on the car!
I honestly think they just didn't have the time to figure it out because they needed to make it to an appointment Wheelmania. Adjusting the windows if you haven't done it before on a 360/430 can take a while to get it aligned just right. I can't believe if they can understand the mechanical of the Ferrari engine and gearbox that they wouldn't be able to figure it out without the time pressure. I also noticed he hasn't taken care of the "stickies" yet on the car. I'm sure that was also because of time constraints. Tony will make it right now that the Ferrari is his car. Very cool of Matt to give his dad the car for all the help he has given him on the builds. I am not sure I'd watch the channel if it was just Matt, his whole "crew" especially his dad is what makes it fun to watch.
Won't the wheels cause issues with speed indication, ABS, etc? Matt's dad seems to be the brains of the operation. Former garage mechanic? He definitely deserves the car.
If the overall size with tires is the same diameter as stock overall, then it shouldn't be a problem. This is why you don't keep the same sidewall size and increase the wheel diameter, overall it needs to be within a very small tolerance which would normally equate to wear on the tire from new till replacement time with a little bit of wiggle room on top.
