Just added the FF to compliment the 458 and I'm loving it. The FF is more usable and less attention getting but just as much fun.

    Congratulations!
In the future, I would be curious which one you find you drive more and for what reasons and maybe a comparison between the two.

I don't need to inform this forum how wonderful Ferraris are. But after 35 years of German cars I got my first Italian car 2 years ago, a 2015 Ferrari 458, - and wow was I blown away! Such a passionate blend of beauty and violent performance. But I hung on to my 991.2 911S like a security blanket because it was a better every day kind of sports car. But last month I traded the 911 in when I bought the 2015 FF. Porsche's new turbo-charged non-GT sports cars have no emotion but thankfully there is the brilliant Ferrari 458 for extreme emotion. But unfortunately the 458 has an unforeseen problem. The 458 is so strikingly beautiful - the reaction you get from other people on the road is mad and eventually disconcerting. It detracts from the experience. But what about the FF? I needed a daily replacement and I always wanted a Ferrari V12 so I gave it a go. I was worried, though, about really how usable it would be.

The bargain price for used FF's was a big part of the motivation, but I actually love the look of the FF and the idea behind it and I had wanted one for a several years. And I have a dog. So the FF offers some practicality, luxury, and stealth. Imagine a Ferrari V12 that nobody takes pictures of. I was surprised how much more comfortable the FF is compared to the 458. Both have that wonderfully compliant magnetorheological damper system. But the 458 feels a bit more nervous and tight, even though it's quite comfortable for such an extremely capable sports car. The FF has a longer wheelbase and more mass which give it the more GT feel. The 458 is really quick to react to inputs and so in touch with the road but so is the FF. I cross shopped a new McLaren 570S and an Aston DB11 before I bought the FF. But Aston and McLaren aren’t on the same level with Ferrari if you want a perfect balance of art and science. And a used FF is such a bargain with 50% depreciation.

So my conclusion? Buy a 458 if you want one of the best sports car ever made but don’t be surprised if you’re chased by onlookers and bothered when you park. So use it on the weekend. Buy an FF if you want to fly under the radar with a truly brilliant driving machine for a bargain price. To me that is what daily comfort is about.

excellent combination. Love love love the FF, such a fantastic car. 458 will compliment it well, 2 great Ferrari's that excite in a different way.

    Good pairing. I went from a 456M to a 360 manual, and I miss the versatility of the M, so I plan to sell my 308 to get a 612. I think a mid V8 and a V12 2+2 is ideal.

Well. I get a lot of attention in the FF as well. Throaty 12 cylinder and growl. People still wonder and look. My FF is so easy to drive and less flashy but it still gets attention. I would not say stealth.
