It probably looks a lot better in person. Is that a factory "color to sample" or a respray?

I think you'd end up spending more time answering questions about the color than driving!

Personally I think it's pretty cool although I like my shiny black better. Something kinda gives me the impression that it only made it to the 2nd stage of the painting process... or atleast that's what people might say/ask. Very original none the less!

Not my cup o' tea. At all.

Looks like a prototype about to go for its crash test or something. Just doesn't look finished.

does anybody know the story behind this car? where is it?

weirdo paint job - i don't get it.

seems like a huge resale liability. gigantic.

I think it looks pretty awful. Can't understand why someone wouldn't want a nice shiny car. I can imagine the owner getting questions like "When are you going to finish respraying it?"...

Jean Todt has (or had) a similar car. Also matt black. At his car, even the rear lights are black! Not really beautiful, but still quite impressive ...

I heard that there was a new Mad Max movie being filmed. Maybe this is his new thunderdome mobile.

Don't know if I should chalk this up under "more money than sense" or "no sense at all".

You couldn't sell the car very easily if you got tired of it that's for sure. Now if that were to be radar absorbing paint I would reconsider. Stealth works for me!

Me too. The first pic looks almost like a dark powdercoat, but the others look kind of blah.

As a general question, how much does F charge for a 'paint to match?' If heard that's one thing Porsche does as an option, will Ferrari? Is it done by Scagletti, or are they just the interiors now?

The car belongs to a customer of Ferrari Zenith, official dealership in Lausanne & Sion, Switzerland. The paint job was made on request from the owner, but not by the factory.

I think the flat black looks pretty good on it. But rather have some shine on it, but that's just me.

Its really hard to tell much from those pics. I don't like the black wheels or the missing insignia... but the paint looks interesting. BMW did a silver over black matte sort of thing on a concept car once... it was shiny, but shiny in a "soft" sort of way... if that's what they accomplished with this matte black, then I'll like it a lot. On the other hand, if its flat black (like a primer), that would be ugly IMO. From the pics, its hard to tell what's shiny and what's not.
