    Well, it's a Hot Wheels after all...

    Besides my collection goes back to BBurago and Joeff, so todays's standards are 'pretty good"......besides there's just so FEW retail stores for these anymore here...

    It's like they disappeared except for the Mattel Outlet that Will posts about up in Fort Worth (about 5 hours away)...

    Dont get me wrong Bubba, I reckon it looks great! :):)

    Detail on these Hotwheels is getting really good. They just cant seem to nail the wheel/tyre ratio properly. :D:D

    Their only flaw. They are a great model for the money you pay for them. :):)

    Yeah compared to what i was used to with BBurago, it is better but then BBurago was 25$...

    Got this car before Christmas, and personally I think it looks great. I think the elites are getting better and better. I also received the elite 512s number55. It too is way better then expected. Can't wait for the long tail version.

    I concur. I've seen the 599XX, 512S and the SWB California spider in the flesh and they all looked much better than in the pictures. Tires don't seem that much of an issue in real life.

    Funny you should ask about the 512, UPS just delivered these three items a few minutes ago. I guess when my Mattel rep said my backorders should start coming in soon he meant it.

    I will offer these to you guys first before they go out in our boutique also.

    Rats, I drained the account at lunch, to beat back the IRS (for 2008....LOL!).

    I'll take the 512S and the Lusso, if they are still there on Friday......

    I don't think I have seen a 1:18 Lusso before now???
    At least they are making some new items available.

    There's a lot of teeth knashing about pricing on the 458 Italia thread...it varies by color?
    You might pop in on that.....

    Mattel made a Lusso ages ago. Then they made it in Elite in blue and red. Then they released the McQuinn car in burgundy. The only new thing about this Lusso is that it is a right hand drive. I am wondering if it still caries the ugly dogleg hinges.

    I need that GTO.
