    Another tire size question:

My track car runs 275-45-16 on rear and 245-45-16 on front.

That rear is a really messed up size for anything but Hoosiers . . . if I'm wrong on this please let me know what else is available in that size.

Based on some info in another thread, these tires might work on my 308 since I have the QA1's. I've attached a link that shows the size of the Hoosier . .. anyone think these tires have a chance of fitting under the rear? Be great if something else was available besides the Hoosier . . . at $237/pc they don't seem too pricey for all out sticky . .. but be nice if there were some other options for the street.

Also, what about that size on the front? . .. which is what I have on the rear right now.

    http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.jsp?make=Hoosier&model=A6&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&partnum=745ZR6A6&tirePageLocQty=%26partnum%3D745ZR6A6

What does the term "over tire-ing a car" mean?

    Thanks,

    Sean

285-18 is what I have on the rear. I think I could get a little wider tire in there....maybe...the next set will be 295 I think, or I my just get stupid and try 315, that would look soooooo cool if I could make it work :)

On the front I have 225 and all is well. My slicks are 235 and they rub on the fender lip, at least the way I have the wheels set-up at the moment. 235 is what the challenge cars were running a few years ago, I don't know if that is still what they run.

285-30-18 are a little shorter than 275-45-16 in the Hoosier . . . is that the 285-18 you're referring to or different aspect ratio?

You think no go on 245-45-16 on the front . . . aspect ratio has a lot to do with this doesn't it when comparing sizes (think that's what it's called)?

You think you've got your offsets optimized with the fender lip rubbing? Maybe that's what you're referring to "wheels set-up at the moment" What's the scenario when you rub? Give me your complete tire size so I can see how big they are.

    Thanks,

    Sean
