How quickly the Merc crowd forgets the boredom of the previous 6 championships they won. SMH.
Exactly. Acting like the RB is anything like the Merc of those years. What a joke they are. Total fantasy land.
Dude the championship is wrapped up already with RB also winning the constructors. What planet are you on?
+1 records shattered in points and total wins and they have 2 races left. Talk about DOMINATION LOL. Just put black leather and whips on the car. Jeeeeeeeeeeezus.
There is a difference between dominating a season and having a dominating car. The merc was MILES quicker relative to the competition. First part of the season RB didn't have the faster car even.
Splitting hair, once more ? If a car that won 16 GPs* so far isn't dominating, what is it then ? * Max 14 + Checo 2 = 16.
Yes well - the RESULTS yield a domination of the series for this year. I see not a way to see other-wise. Hardly a bad thing to say would you not agree. This is not about Mercedes lol. Move on. This is about RedBull and its current RESULTS - do you understand. Your comparison is meaningless. Can you not celebrate this at all. Enough about Mercedes. My word............
It was pityful to see Max in a faster car, losing to Merc and Sainz one by one. A real eye-opener? Especially seeing how Max was immediately attacking Sainz's rear tyre with his carbon fibre wing, the moment he had been overtaken by Sainz.
That would be quite nice ... his champion's helmut (helmet) would hit him back in his own face at that speed
Erm read a little bit more into several statements made, will you? Your hatred for RB/Max is very well known, so that certainly skews your capability of bringing data into the question: A car that's over half a second faster over the rest of the field championships' are less impressive than a car that's had a genuine rival team all season, and for a good while was even slowe than that team. To then take as many victories as Max did is extremely impressive. Do you understand?
What became obvious today is that it's not so easy to make a clean race when you're not running alone.
{More poles, more wins, more laps lead} in a year Are you using a different dictionary in defining "Domination" ?
Are we seriously going to turn this into a wikipedia argument? Context is quite important. Up until Spa the RB and Ferrari where neck and neck. They had genuine competition. Mercedes in 2014-16, 19, 20, had no competition. It's vastly more impressive to score a record amount of wins when you actually have competition. Hypothetically speaking, if I beat Usain Bolt in a straight up 100m race, people would call that very impressive. If I beat Usain Bolt in the same race but he had his legs broken, so isn't actually competitive, that would be far less of an impressive feat.
I totally get what you're sayin.......but this is a bad analogy. Think about it this way as in cooking. The master chef(FIA) says you have a week to come up with the best Italian Lasagna. The teams include Italians(Ferrari), Germans (really British-Mercedes), French (Renault) and Japanese (Honda).....and eveyone agrees to make the Lasagna. Now who do you think is going to come up with the best Italian Lasagna? Then the master chef says once you make your Lasagna, you cannot add any more ingredients for the next couple of years because of cost. Hence and back to F1, Mercedes, at the time or Germany really, was into hybridization......the rest were not......so the domination at the start of the turbo-hybrid era and going forward for years was also aided by the FIA (token system). Now we're in 2022, and Max and RedBull have dominated and won the WDC and WCC title.....but EVERYONE was on an even playing field. The FIA hasn't taken any side with anyone to ensure the dominating team stays dominant. Ferrari was up there but just got worse and worse. Mercedes was nowhere(like they used to be) and just now at the Interlagos sprint race, 2 races from ending the season, Mercedes is somewhere ahead of Ferrari.
Even with that competition, RB dominated in the wins category, early in the season. Perhaps Ferrari's early season form was "just a fluke" as it has obviously dissipated as the year rambles on.
Ferrari is like that though, coming out of the gates like a rabbit only to "slow-down" mid-season and ending the season pitifully.
Ferrari is good at winning the "winter championship", promising much, and then delivering less and less. The end of this season cannot come too soon for them.
A fluke is 2,3 races being competitive. You don't stay competitive until a rule change well into the season and get to call it a fluke. Image Unavailable, Please Login The RB18 doesn't hold an average advantage anywhere near the mentioned cars earlier. So to get the amount of wins he did is extremely impressive.
I didn't see any boredom during those 7 years, only efficiency at work. If Red Bull does the same, I won't be bored.
