Five driver championship in a row with Ferrari is something else in this British formula one.
    A remarkable achievement.

The Mercedes is on rail since 2014.
This is the reason Hammy could drive with clean racing style.
Put him in the RB 16 and you will see a completely different story.

BS. Schumi and even Hakkinen were already faster than him and no reason to believe he would have got any faster with more time. Rewriting history as usual.

Why do you think the Merc is on rail since 2014? There were many times where the car was unbalanced. The RB is 2 seconds faster than the Haas, by your logic one could say put Max in the Haas and you will see a completely different story.

Are you seriuos? Don't take my word for it, look it up yourself. The RB is 2 sec faster than some other teams. They have been wining races for the last 10 years, longer than Mercedes.

Bottas lost 4-5 places at the start,
Seb's car threw a rear brake rotor,,
Max retired early, after losing~ 4 places at the start
LeClerc lost it in the Parabolica while accelerating, setting up Red Flag,
Hamilton ate a big penalty and has a super drive to get back in the points.

The podium players deserved to be there.

Most of the post race discussion involves moving Gasly back to RBR. I think that it makes more sense to have Kvyat and Max swap seats. I would like to see what Max can do in the Alpha Tauri?

We are all prisoners of recency bias to some degree. But after the past few races, if I'm Christian Horner, I am significantly worried about keeping Max at Red Bull going forward.

Apparently on Dutch TV he was incredibly frustrated and said he was done for a while.

Red Bull and F1 is in danger territory now. With an engine they're now not really allowed to develop, there's only so much they can do. Max can handle the chassis and unstable aero, that much is clear. If Red Bull loses Max somehow, they don't have anyone in the pipe line to drive the cars they have, quickly. There's also no drivers available to hire to do this. Red Bull leaving would mean a 16 car grid. Not good enough.

If Lewis doesn't re-sign with Mercedes you can bet your house Max will be in that seat.

I am surprised RBR and Ferrari are bothering. F1 is a competitive support and they are directly not allowed to compete. What's the point of even showing up?

Ask Liberty and the FIA. They allow cloning/cheating by 1 full team. Documented and fined. Yet other teams are prevented from developing modestly. Clone Point should have been excluded until they provided last years car. Essentially Ferrari are competing with that car, from last year, yet FERRARI are the heart / soul of F1 ????????? LOL................really????? Cannot do much to improve but here please Ferrari you are the best asset of F1 so no tokens.

Nobody is forced to participate in F1, and those who do have accepted the framework, and the rules prior to entering.
We hear that all the teams have now signed the new Concord Agreement, and that means accepting the conditions.
They had ample time to say no and get out of F1, but they didn't, so there is no need to cry over spilled milk in future.

No need to feel attacked. It's the only seat on the grid that's better than what Max has. Just the ggap between 1st and second is enormous. The rest are just bets which team will be better than his own...Only 1 car is guaranteed to be better.

I think Max may be in a seat at Merc regardless of whether Hamilton re-signs. Fantastic as he is, Hamilton, too, will succumb to the ravages of time. I think Mercedes will make the strategic move next year and bring Verstappen onboard.

I seriously doubt it'll be alongside Hamilton. I wish it was, but doubt it.

Regardless, I would much prefer Verstappen to win titles with Red Bull (ok, Ferrari even more preferred but that's looking pretty unlikely so far...)
