I think with 300hp on tap, 315 section rear tires would be way too much overkill.

My 255 tires makes the car quite lively and feels connected. I can see extending it to say 355/360 spec but beyond this I amguessing you would lose sensitivity/balance. Also the wheel/tire combo would be heavier.

I have experienced a Boxster with normal tires and one with the upgraded 911 tires which were about 30mm wider. The car felt better balanced front to rear with the normal tires. With the wider tires, there was more eventual grip but the sensitivity wasn't there.

    Another note:

I was at a shop that had a 355 with stock tires. They looked sunken into the wheel well.

I got 650hp / 750nm on the crank and reduced the weight of the car down to ~1150kg. I need big wheels to get the car controlable. I'm no pro race driver wich drives every week on the track. With small wheels its just realy dangerous because the rear is very nervous and i maybe can't catch it sometime and wrack the car.

At the moment i'm at 285/30-19" because my wheels are only 9,5"x19" but i found some other 12x19" wheels with a design i like and will change to them and can mount bigger tires.

I found the thread with the silver 355 with 315mm tires i think i get a set of those and look if the traction is ok.

You think you can get 12" wheels on a 355? What offset?

Do you have a link to the thread w/the 315's?

That picture shows nothing of the fit. I'd be cautious unless you plan on adjusting camber. I'd like to see other pictures of that fitment.

    :)

I must realign all of the suspension because i had the hole car in pieces. So the 355 has these wheels in and then it will fit also on mine. 285 fit with some space so 20mm more should be no problem.
I will make pictures when its all done and nice.
