Would you believe... --------------- LOS ANGELES - Don Adams, the wry-voiced comedian who starred as the fumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart in the 1960s television spoof of James Bond movies, "Get Smart," has died. He was 82. Adams died of a lung infection late Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, his friend and former agent Bruce Tufeld said Monday, adding the actor broke his hip a year ago and had been in ill health since. ----------------- ....Sorry about that
It is a sad thing. Last summer the Tiger club held a luncheon in his honor. He was honored to be remembered and happily joined us. He ended up with the Tiger that was used in the show (minus the machine guns). After the third daughter wrecked the car, he just let it go to the wrecking yard. Erich
I always liked Don Adams. Remember he did the voice of Tennessee Tuxedo in the cartoon? In "Get Smart" he was brilliant. Truly an icon has passed. (BTW- I think agent 99 was the first woman I ever had a crush on)
And I had him for next month in our death pool "Missed it by that much" RIP Agent 86 as you go into the cone of silence for good
First Gilligan, now Maxwell Smart. I hate to think of who's next. (He was a funny guy and yes, Barbara Feldman was hot in her day).
I used to watch that show religiously as a kid. I must have seen every episode 15 times. Bernis Kopell lived near us and we talked a couple times with phony German accents!
Yeah but do you have the DVD's? And what about his movie... THE NUDE BOMB!! RIP Agent 86! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yea, same here. I used to watch the reruns on Nick at Nite when I was a kid. It was my favorite show. RIP 86
