No problem, loads of automobile related things to do! Here are some more links that will hopefully be helpful. http://www.cruisinarizona.com/ Calendar of events: http://www.cruisinarizona.com/carshows.html And one that is EVERY, yeah...every Saturday from 4PM onwards (I've personally been there since Midnight to 1AM and I've heard of people going there at 10AM to grab a spot (that's overkill, IMO) Scottsdale Pavilions Car Show a.k.a Rock and Roll Car Show http://www.rockandrollcarshow.com/
Hi, here is the update, its the Northern Phoenix area so we are looking at Goodyear, Fountain Hills, Surprise, Peoria, Glendale and who know where else. Not siure how fast this will happen but I look forward to meeting all of your out in sunny Arizona and thank you for all the help Regards Glenn
We have a place in N. Scottsdale (Troon area) and our daughter just bought a really nice place in Glendale. Both great communities and a nice contrast from Michigan!
Glenn: There are good places in N Phoenix, but there are sketchy areas as well. The next C&C is on 7/7. Most of the 'usual suspects' can be found at the fountain. Stop by, say hi, and I would be happy to try and help point you in the right direction.
I will be there! Is it at that parking lot with the Paradise Bakery or whatever it's called? Ash....? Is it still at the same place? What's the address? I'll be in Phoenix Wednesday!!!
Yeah, it's the same place. scuderiasw.com Address:‎ 8877 N Scottsdale Rd Scottsdale, AZ 85253 I'll see ya there, Blamp! Hopefully you'll get to see the local Enzo!
He already has one like that at Cars and Coffee. He even tried standing in the shade and still was pissed off at the heat.
I used to live in Scottsdale, four years, really hated the weather. 120+ is just ludicrous even at 15% humidity. Whe I had visitors from out of state, I would actually fry and egg on the concrete. But that map is spot on, great work! But you did not mention the low riders that scrap the ground as they roll creating a colorful "fireworks" display at night. Does that mean that sadly they are gone? Pneumatic suspensions and all?
I don't mind the heat. I REALLY REALLY HOPE to see AZ's yellow 458 at C&C this weekend. And although I saw the Veyron there last year.....I still am dying to see one car..... I want to see an F50!!!!! (Seen many F40s and Enzos.....but only a glimpse at an F50 in 2000 from a few lights away......man that thing.....)
AZ-Giallo's Giallo Modena 458 may be there, I'm sure he'll post if he'll be there. Haven't seen an F50 since Feb. 2011 at one of the shows with two 599 GTOs!
And I thought I was the only one that absolutely hates summers in Phoenix. I'm currently holed up in a cabin in the mountains of Colorado waiting it out.
LOL...you are far from the only one...like you, I'm at 6000 feet and a fair bit north right now... The AZ crew are hearty souls!
