You will LOVE the 355F1 cars, sounds like it will be perfect for you.

I will add, make sure you find a good late model car, I would not buy another early 355F1 car, mine had a problem that took forever to sort out, long story short, look for a 99 with good history, and if you intend on using it get one that has been driven, the bugs will have been worked out already leaving you to just drive and enjoy.

Fred I wish you a speedy recovery, might I recommend a Modena its probably easier to drive with newer version F1 though it lacks the sound and appeal :)

Buy a 6 speed, it will be good exercise for your leg, it will make you feel young, and help you recover much faster. Your F355 will be a sure classic since with the 6 speed.

Fred - the F355 will be gutless compared to your (ex-)TR. However, it howls so nice, and it looks great! I have a 6-speed (you've seen it), but I also drove Financialman's ex-F355F1 and thought it was just fine. Just don't expect the "Auto" mode to be anything like a real auto 'box though :D

    Feeling the withdrawals eh?
