Has anyone tried fitting mk1 MX5 headlamp motors? I've had to repair my standard motors several times and it's all getting a bit tedious. There's a company in the UK that sells brackets and wiring harnesses to fit MX-5 motors to the Triumph TR7. They use the same 5-wire connection and diode-based logic, are cheap and ubiquitous, so I am going to steal that idea. The bolt centres are off, nothing an adaptor plate can't fix. Anyone already done it?

I like this idea. I've been putting off fixing my right headlight motor, which is slow but not dead. Keep us posted.

I live in eastern Canada and when the temperature drops below 10C the right headlight on my 355 blows the fuse when operated. Seems this is a common problem on the 355!??

The motor fuse or the light fuse? If the motor fuse, maybe the gearbox needs an overhaul/regrease?

The Motor Fuse. I will overhaul it this winter.
