wasn't sure where to submit this Blog but wanted to share with fellow FChatters who might appreciate a Mercedes Restoration Thread. I was going to kinda DIY this myself, but very glad that I didn't. Prior owner had done a lot of work and car was in primer with underside and engine bay "done and ready"...Luckily I came across Mark Passarelli Restorations (renowned for his 300SL restorations Rancho Merced - Home) and he was moving his shop back to Colorado. I am his first "Colorado shop" customer.

Very very pleased with the top notch work he and his team are doing. They have already found and corrected lots of small items which would have come back to haunt me later on. (see photos). The DIY approach would have produced a shiny, driver... This will be a concours level, show quality restoration to #1 Condition by a renowned MB restorer. I am very excited.

Wow, very cool! Thanks for sharing. I am appreciating older Mercedes' more and more and recently bought a Euro 500SL myself. Your 190SL will be unbelieveable!

Thanks. It's amazing to see how much detailed work and focus go into these professional restorations versus the "rolling refreshes" which I have done in the past DIY fashion.

    Very impressed.
