MB in town testing prototypes

Heya!!! Live right down the street from Mercedes Westminster!!! Thanks a ton for the heads up. If they get pissed off at me for trying to poke my head in and see a Pagani, I won't tell them you sent me

 

Took the time to stop at the Mecedes dealer today, one Pagani Zonda F was in the parking lot, as was the Viper/SLR--that was under the covers though. The updated (I think) SL 55 was there too; also a Maybach was nearby, but not with the group. The Benz's were definetley disguised, and the Pagani had all kinds stuff related to its testing, so they werent the polished ones you'd see in the showroom, but still, pretty cool stuff. As they requested--I did not take pictures, sorry guys. The people there were real nice though, if you guys are in the area, I'd say stop by and ask if the cars are there!

Thanks so much to Detailers Paradise and Alex_V for mentioning these cars. I went to Mercedes of Westminster today and saw the vehicles. There are eighteen total. Most are relatively unspectacular, with a few S-classes, CL-classes, AMG C-classes, and AMG SL-classes. However, seven cars stood out: there is a Maybach 62, two Mercedes SL63 Black Series, the Zonda, and three covered cars: two mid-size sedans, presumably new E-classes, and the mule of the SLR replacement. I took a few photographs and no one seemed to mind, but I'm not going to post them all the same since they were not on public property.

Nevertheless I encourage any Denver/Boulder-area resident who wants to see a Zonda "on the road" to go check the cars out; they're all just parked at the south end of the Mercedes of Westminster lot, near the entrance to the service bay.

Certainly not long. I bet they will test them on Mt. Evans this week and they'll be gone before next week.

 

I was lucky enough to spot the Pagani Zonda F in Evergreen this afternoon. The two German Engineers stopped at the Conoco in Bergen Park to fuel up after a run up Mt. Evans. I spoke with them about the car...they indicated Pagani was needing testing for a new engine for the Zonda replacement. It did not look or sound like the AMG V-12, but most likely the AMG supercharged 5.4-liter V-8. The car was a very impressive piece of automotive art. They indicated the "new" Pagani would likely be coming to the U.S. in 2010. Sorry no pics...

LOL I'm sorry but that thing is absolutely hideous looking.

 

I was riding my motorcycle outside of Cortez Colorado yesterday and saw about 6 of them. They were going the other way on highway 160 so I did not get a detailed look at them.
