MB SL65 AMG Black Under 100K yet? ;)

all of the black series cars are just so menacing to see on the road I love them

 

Aren't they $300k+? So... just give it about 6 months?

Someone near me has a black one I have spotted a few times. The widebody looks cool.

 

This car looks awesome with the widebody. Even the engine alone is aggressive looking.

They are so expensive!

 

I was on the list for one...first they said it was going to be $230k and then it kept on going up and at over $300k I said forget it...I will definitely be watching the used prices.

...good god the Rolls is recalcitrant...I think I lost my appetite.

 

The car just came out a few months ago, the price is gonna drop but not that fast.

 

The inside of Rolls is even worse than the outside. The inside is solid yellow leather with carbon fiber trim.

I could only wish this proved true. I realize there is some tongue-in-cheek nature to the comments given the historic depreciation of the marque, and in particular the SL65. Speaking realistically, however, IMHO they may get below $200 in 6 months, then likely firm up a little at $150ish from 12-24 months. I would be surprised (pleasantly so), if the see $100K before 3 years. If they were to depreciate so dramatically as to hit $100K in less than 2 years, I think I would have no choice but to move on one.

 

Currently on Manheim's MMR there are 6 2009 SL63 AMG that sold recently. The highest price was 107k w/ 8k miles.

I did just see his car yesterday in BH, as an aside.

 

I'm wrong- Bijan's has a tan interior not a yellow one.
Maybe its Mr. Fuch's- he seems to like the yellow yellow combo

An SL65 AMG Black Series overtook me on the highway the other day. Nice car...but I wouldn't spend all that money on what looks like a tuned-up SL. IMVHO of course.

It's $400K CAD up here.......only 2 were sold countrywide apparently. That's $161K CAD over the MSRP of an SL65.

Cool car......but not worth another $161K IMHO........maybe another $50K.........
